2. Where in the world do they live??
A white cheeked gibbon is found in high canopies of
tropical rainforests. Another name you could call it is ,
” tree dweller “.
3. What do they eat??
Well, a white cheeked gibbon would prefer, scattered
sorts of berries, buds of plants, or young plants.
4. How do they survive??
Well, white cheeked gibbons are always making sure
no intruders are in their families home or territory.
They also make sure their territorial boundaries are in
order once every 5 days. When a intruder is in their
territory, the male gibbon goes and chases it out to
keep their family safe.
5. What are their adaptations??
Their adaptations are to use their index finger and
thumb to only grab ripe fruit. Their small body and
long arms are designed for hanging to feed from
branches through the forest. Their thumb is free from
their palm and extends out from near the wrist,
allowing a wide range of movement.

o A white cheeked gibbon usually lives up to 25 years
old or older!!!
o Male gibbons are all black except for white patches
on their cheeks.
o When baby gibbons are born, their fur is the same
color as their mom’s.
o They all turn black by one year of age.
