Comenius learning teaching methods

 1. 1. The Comenius Project: Analysing the Survey By: Soniya Ambadkar, Iris Schr öder, Catriona Denman, Jutta Tuomi, Caroline Jury, Justus Hoffmann, Zoe Wellbelove, Linda Grönlund, Alma Koski and Amalia Austin
 2. 2. 1. How much group work do you do?
 3. 3. How much group work do you do?

From the previous results graph, we can see that the most popular answer was ‘A reasonable amount’ which is the perfect answer. A reasonable amount means that you would get the chance to work independently as well as with a team.

 4. 4. 2. How much time does the teacher spend talking in your lesson?
 5. 5. How much time does the teacher spend talking in your lesson?

The most popular answer for this question was ‘Most of the time’. This could be a good thing, in that the students would fully understand something before moving on, and would not get stuck later on in the subject.

 6. 6. 3. How much partner work do you do?
 7. 7. How much partner work do you do?

The majority of people said ‘Most lessons’. This is good, as partner work is individual enough to help the students become independent, and codependent enough to help them learn along with other people.

 8. 8. 4. How often do you do project work?
 9. 9. How often do you do project work?

Project work is usually done in groups since it comprises a lot of work. Most people said they did project work every term, which is a good amount. Project work every month would be a big workload, and so every term is about right.

 10. 10. 5. How much ICT does the teacher use in your lesson?
 11. 11. How much ICT does the teacher use in your lesson?

40% of people, the majority, said ‘some’ in response to this question. This is good, as ICT is a useful learning tool, but using huge amounts may prove distracting for some pupils.
