Sara Simões . Designer and Illustrator Sara Simões. Lisbon, 1980 Product Design degree, IADE, Lisbon, 2002. Science Illustration course with Pedro Salgado (Portughese award-winning illustrator). Member of 'Grupo do Risco' (www.grupo-do-risco.pt). She took part on the group's field sketching expeditions to Berlengas and Douro in Portugal and Amazonia in Brasil. Author of “Uma mão cheia de amoras”, a book illustrated in 2007 and home edited by illustrator Marina Palácio. She worked as a designer and illustrator in several fields such as: furniture and trade fair stands; characters, settings and story boards for animation movies; graphic interfaces for educational software.
