INTRODUCTION
Teacher start with the class by a new method.
Teacher sings a poem.
Geometrical shapes
We are in different shapes
We are in different angles
We are in three sided
We are in 4 sided and more
We have sides
We have angles
Then tell what is our name?
PRESENTATION
Teacher divided the class to 4 groups and give
them activity cards.
In the activity cards ,it contain a riddle. Teacher
ask the students to answer the riddle.
“I am a geometrical figure
I have sides and angles
The number of sides and angles are equal to
the number of wheels of auto rickshaw.
My sides can be changed but
Sum of my angles are always 180⁰
Can you tell my name”
Triangles
Activity -1
Teacher again give activity card to the students
and ask them to answer it.
Name the triangle and complete the table
below
Triangles Angles
Students do it by the discussion, and explanation.
Teacher also help the students to found out that
the triangle with equal angle are equal
Activity – 2
Teacher again give activity cards to the students.
1. Draw triangles with angles 40⁰,60⁰
and 80⁰ ?
2. Name the triangle ?
3.Measure the angles of the triangle ?
Students do the discussion and explanation with
the help of the teacher, students found out that if
the angles of a triangles are equal to the angles of
another triangle then the two triangles are similar
and the sides opposite to the equal angles are in
proportion. Teacher then show a chart.
Similar Triangles
If the angles of a triangle are equal to the
angles of another triangle, then the two
triangles are equal and the sides opposite to
the equal angles are in proportion.
Teacher then sing a poem
At last he comes near
to me
We are of equal mind
But are of different
sides
As our mind our angles
are equal
Our fathers call us .
