At HealthVault we have enabled various data sources to connect seamlessly with our platform, and are continually fostering an innovative ecosystem of applications and devices.
Let’s try a few ways to get data in to HealthVault --
You heard Cedric talk about Withings, here I’m going to jump on my Withings scale and have that data be effortlessly sent to HealthVault. HealthVault has over 80+ devices connected to the platforms.
Hypothetically if I were a veteran I can download my Health data from the VA system, thanks to the Blue button initiative. In this case I’m importing my Health data from myHealtheVet in to Microsoft HealthVault. (“show the blue button home page” and “upload process”). Not only I’m able to get this information from the Blue button file but I’m able to store it as a structured data and also reconcile any duplicates. Notice that I did suffer some depression and I’m been treated with some memory improvement medications.
Now that we have sent data to HealthVault in various way, let’s look it in HealthVault –
(“Login in to HealthVault”) (“Browse to weights and show the list of weight from Withings”)
Here are all the weight readings for my withings scale. In fact HealthVault has more than 80 connected devices.
Next let’s take a look at my conditions. Look here is the “Nerve pain” which came from my Google Health record and here is Depression which is sourced from VA!
And as a bonus let me show you some picture of my XRay from a Knee surgery! Using the HealthVault connection center you can upload medical images to HealthVault, you no longer need to carry those CDs around.
Having all this data in once place is great values add for the consumer, they can use plethora of HealthVault application to work with this data.
Here I’m on American Heart association trying to ascertain if my weight readings are going to cause me any hypertension problems (“show the graph”). An alternative view of my information.
Or in fact I might want the most update to medical advice from Mayo clinic and I might jump in to that application. Well only to see that my eye exams are due!!
These are just a few ways by which users can get information in to HealthVault and interact with through 300+ applications. We are continually innovating and adding new features.
In-fact recently enabled support for mobile devices, and release libraries on iOS/Android and WP7 platforms for developers to build interesting applications.
Give our ecosystem of device and applications a try, and help us build a healthier-you!
Thank you!
