- 2. INTRODUCTION Class 100 - Single thread chain stitch Class 200 - Hand stitch, normally not sewing machine Class 300 - Lock stitch, Hook & bobbin Class 400 - Multi thread chain stitch – Looper Class 500 - Overedge and safety stitch Class 600 - Cover stitch, Similar to 400, but with top cover

- 4. CLASS-101 Thread - 01 Needle - 01 Looper - 01 (Blind) Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:5 Single thread chain stitch. Has good extension, but unravels easily. Used for temporary Stitch. FACE SIDE UNDER SIDE
- 5. CLASS-103 Thread - 01 Needle - 01 Looper - 01 (Blind) Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:4.5 Formed by curved needle Use single thread to stitch UNDER SIDE
- 7. CLASS-301 (LOCK STITCH) Thread - 02 Needle - 01 Bobbin - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:2.5 Formed with two threads: one needle thread and one bobbin thread. Does not unravel easily. Poor extension. Stitch is reversible. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE

- 9. CLASS-301 (ZIG-ZAG LOCK STITCH) Thread - 02 Needle - 01 Bobbin - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:5.5 Has same benefits as 301. Has better extension due to the zigzag configuration. Used mostly where a secure seam with good extension is required. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE

- 11. CLASS-401 Thread - 02 Needle - 01 Looper - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:5.5 Two thread chainstitch. Higher seam strength and seam stretch than a lock stitch. Seam security not as good as lock stitch. Increase bulk under the seam. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE

- 13. CLASS-404 Thread - 02 Needle - 01 Looper - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:7 Zigzag chainstitch. Stitch formation similar to 401. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE
- 15. CLASS-406 Thread - 03 Needle - 02 Looper - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio – 1:15.5 Cover seam stitch, has 2 needle and 1 looper thread. Excellent extension, easy to unravel. Gives very good extension, and is mostly used to cover a raw edge in the fabric. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE

- 19. CLASS-408 Thread - 05 Needle - 02 Looper - 02 Spreader - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:17 Formed using two needle threads ,two looper threads and one Top covering thread. The top covering thread is laid between and around the needle threads on the surface of the material UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE

- 21. CLASS-503 Thread - 02 Needle - 01 Looper - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:10.5 Formed using one needle and one looper thread. Used to secure the edge of fabric
- 23. CLASS-504 Thread - 03 Needle - 01 Looper - 02 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:14 Has 1 needle thread and 2 looper threads. Has excellent extension and does not unravel easily. Used for serging to stop fabric fraying, and for joining 2 or more plies together.
- 25. CLASS-505 Thread - 03 Needle - 01 Looper - 02 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:16 Stitch type 505 is similar to stitch type 504. In stitch type 505 the lower looper thread Is tighter and the needle thread is looser than in stitch type 504 Is 3- thread version of stitch type 503
- 27. CLASS-512 Thread - 04 Needle - 02 Looper - 02 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:15.5 Mock safety stitch, has 2 needle and 2 looper threads Very good extension, will not unravel easy. Used where there is a need for a secure seam that needs very good extension.
- 29. CLASS-514 Thread - 04 Needle - 02 Looper - 02 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:20 Similar to 512, only the loop is extended up to both needle.
- 31. CLASS-514 Thread - 04 Needle - 02 Looper - 02 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:17.5 Formed by simultaneously sewing one row of stitch 401 and one row of stitch type 503 on the edge of the material.
- 33. CLASS-516 Thread - 05 Needle - 02 Looper - 03 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:20 5 thread safety stitch, has 2 needle threads and 3 looper threads. Has two stitch types in one, 504 and 401. Good extension, very strong. If one fails the other can absorb the strain High seam elasticity
- 35. CLASS-602 Thread - 04 Needle - 02 Looper -01 Spreader - 01 Thread Consumption Ratio - 1:20 Top and Bottom cover seam stitch, has 2 needle, 1 looper and 1 spreader thread. Has excellent extension, when a small stitch is used excellent seam cover is achieved. UNDER SIDEFACE SIDE
