2. SHOT INTHE FILM

NAME OF SHOT HOW IT WASTRICKY HOW WE OVERCAMETHE
CHALLENGE
0:07 Establishing Shot In the mirror you could see the
reflection of the camera. It was
awkward to find an angle
without it.
We tilted the tripod to the right to
ensure we could get an
accurate establishing shot.
1:01-1:03 Match on action We found the timing of the click
and the blowing of the kiss tricky. It
had to match accurately to
maintain continuity.
We did practice shots and filmed
this shot several times.We also
paid extra attention whilst editing
to ensure the shot was accurate.
2:29-2:34 Tracking Shot We didn’t have a dolly so we had to
think of an object we could use
to 'track' the camera.
We placed the camera upon
a cushion and pulled the cushion
lightly to create an effective shot.
3:10-3:12 High angle close up Due to the angle being high and
over a sofa, and
with a disadvantage
in specialised equipment, we had
to try hold the camera still.
We did numerous shots and held
the camera completely still.We
checked during editing for
any shaking.
Cinema Shots Various Whilst filming practice shots, we
noticed the lighting wasn't to a
high enough standard.We had to
think of a solution that
would increase the lighting but
have a cinematic feel.
Me and Amber stood at either side
of the camera with flashlights
which we flickered every few
seconds to boost the lighting and
give the cinematic feel.
