2. An EU Approved Digital Signature System
• The Work Based Learning Programme in Wales is
partly funded by the European Union;
• All auditable documents require a ‘wet signature’
and electronic signatures are not accepted;
• As a consequence the entire administrative system
is paper based resulting in cumbersome and time
consuming management processes;
• The aim of the SWANI Project was to digitise the
administrative system and to make progress
towards the acceptance of digital signatures as part
of that;
• This presentation presents the Project outcomes.
