19,000 volume library media center with 400 students in a K-5 suburban school. Collaboration
with technology department and classroom teachers on Big 6 Assured technology
experiences. Deliver research/project based curriculum. Promote love of reading and lifelong
learning skills through children’s literature and instruction in information literacy /technology skills
and support of school wide literacy initiatives. Received 2009 Spirit of Education Award by
Library of Poetry.
8/2006- 6/2007 Library Media Specialist –Bridgeport, CT. Responsible for all aspects of library
media center for an urban K-8 school with 1000 +/- students. Deliver effective teaching of
information and technology literacy skills through project based research process using CT
