Editor's Notes

  1. Title of the workshop...goals, etc.
  2. Introductions
  3. Have someone read the quote? Tara discuss the communicating/problem solving aspect? Michelle discuss the reasoning/representation, etc?
  4. Review the agenda
  5. Tara: Explain why I use Ning and how it combines different features of other programs.
  6. Tara: Explain the research. Aside from Will Richardson’s quote, mention how one of the International Society for Technology in Education’s National Education Technology Standards for Students is critical thinking/problem solving and decision making. They elaborate to say students should use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.
  7. Tara-login cards, one person per group logs in and puts down their response!
