2. 2 Corinthians 1:18-22
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was
preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and
Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was
Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are
Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God
through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with
you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who
also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our
hearts as a guarantee.
3. Jeremiah 31:33 -34
“But this is the covenant which I will make with the
house of Israel after those days,” declares the
Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their
heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they
shall be My people. 34 They will not teach
again, each man his neighbor and each man his
brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all
know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of
them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their
iniquity (guilt), and their sin (to miss, go wrong) I will
remember no more.”
4. Known By God
Galatians 4:9 But now that you have come to
know God, or rather to be known by God…
5. Before I Formed You, I Knew You
Jeremiah. 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb
I knew you..."
6. Friends (or a Brother) in High Places
Genesis 42:1 Now Jacob saw that there was grain in
Egypt, and Jacob said to his sons, “Why are you staring at
one another?” 2 He said, “Behold, I have heard that there
is grain in Egypt; go down there and buy some for us from
that place, so that we may live and not die.”...
6 Now Joseph was the ruler over the land; he was the one
who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph’s
brothers came and bowed down to him with their faces to
the ground. 7 When Joseph saw his brothers he
recognized them...
7. Friends (or a Brother) in High Places
Genesis 42:1 4Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come closer to me."
And they came closer. And he said, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold
into Egypt. 5 Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold
me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. 6 For the famine [has
been] in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there
will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7God sent me before you to preserve
for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.
8Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made
me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the
land of Egypt.
9 Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son
Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay.
10 You shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your
children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all
that you have. 11"There I will also provide for you, for there are still five
years of famine [to come], and you and your household and all that you have
would be impoverished."'
8. Chosen by Him
John 13:18b I know the ones I have chosen;
Ephesian 1:4 He chose us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy
and blameless before him.
9. He Understands You
Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest
who cannot sympathize with our
weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in
all things as we are, yet without sin. 16
THEREFORE let us draw near with confidence to
the throne of grace, so that we may receive
mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
10. Psalm 139
1 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.3 You
scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are
intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even
before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O
Lord, You know it all. 5 You have enclosed me
behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is
too high, I cannot attain to it.
11. Psalm 139
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I
flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to
heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in
Sheol, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of
the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the
sea, 10 Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your
right hand will lay hold of me. 11 If I say, “Surely the
darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around
me will be night,” 12 Even the darkness is not dark to
You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness
and light are alike to You.
12. Psalm 139
13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in
my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, for I
am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are
Your works, And my soul knows it very well.15 My
frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in
secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the
earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed
substance; And in Your book were all written the
days that were ordained for me, when as yet there
was not one of them.
13. He Thinks about You
Ps 139:17 How precious also are Your thoughts
to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If
I should count them, they would outnumber the
sand.
