Recently a protest was held called black Wednesday also known as (SOPA) Stop
online piracy act and (PIPA) Protect IP Act, this protest was held to stop the
legislation that would make it illegal for a web site to link to another that could
have copyright infringements some consequences would be having their IP address
blocked and facing a fine so then people couldn’t use them
Some major websites took part in the protest including Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla,
WordPress, and BoingBoing. These websites protested by shutting down there
websites for the day.
