  1. More than ever, small businesses are flocking online . Many of them don't realize that a web site isn't going to help . Their online endeavors will be largely wasted - and they will fail. To avoid that fate, you need to be thinking about Online Businesses, Not Websites .

Cover these points: Generate more leads – your web site and email marketing Cut through the noise and be heard – Use RSS And blogs effectively to raise your profile Build communities -> use blogs, forums, and RSS to build communities around your business. Improve customer service -> automate mundane tasks and get the system to remind you to follow up on leads Automate customer loyalty building tasks -> build one on one relationships with automated loyalty campaigns – e.g. email on customer birthday Sell products -> take your products online
