What is sinopsis
It is the summary of the contents of a work or movie
Now that you have learnt some vocabulary about movies, read the following synopsis of the
movie Toy Story.
Set in a world where toys come alive, the story of Toy Story focuses on the toys of a
little boy named Andy Davis and centers on his favorite toy, a pull-string doll named
Woody, the leader of a group of toys. Andy’s family organize a birthday party one week
before his birthday, because they are planning to move away. Andy spends time with his
friends while the toys stage a spying mission to discover Andy’s new presents. Woody
worries because he is afraid of being replaced by Andy’s newest toy, which is a space
ranger named Buzz Lightyear. He is a more impressive toy than Woody, because it wears
a space suit with various features such as wings and transparent helmet, a laser
“weapon,” and various sound effects. Woody becomes resentful, especially when he
notices that Buzz also gets attention from the other toys. However, Buzz believes
that he is a real space ranger and wants to return to his home planet, while
Woody tries to convince him that he is just a toy. When Woody and buzz are suddenly
captured in the house of Andy’s neighbor Sid Phillips, a toy killer, they have to work
together to escape if they want to return to Andy’s house.

6. STEP 3: Writing your sinopsis
In 1820, a group of trappers in the northern
territory of Louisiana (now the US states of
North Dakota and South Dakota) suffer an
ambush by a group of Sioux Indians, who
steal their skins they wore. However, some
manage to escape. Among the survivors,
Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio), the only
man who knew the route back, mortally
wounded by the attack of a grizzly bear.
Seeing the enormous difficulty of carrying a
dying and also in the harsh winter, the captain
of the expedition Andrew Henry (Domhnall
Gleeson) is forced to leave in the forest with
indigenous son of Glass, Hawk (Forrest
Goodluck) and two of his men, the young Jim
Bridger (Will Poulter) and former military
officer John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).
Fitzgerald had always seemed at odds with
Glass and, on one occasion, trying to
assassinate him, according to him to free him
from his agony. However, Hawk stands and is
stabbed to death in front of a Glass impotent,
unable to move from his wounds. Fitzgerald
lies Bridger to leave the place and let Glass to
their fate. Surprisingly, this is recovering from
