Business model
Initially by selling corporate app yearly subscriptions, later personal yearly subscriptions.
In a next phase, an “Expert Finder” function is added, where freelance experts can create
profiles over the web and via the app offer video support at a fee, from which we will
receive a cut.
Business drivers
Instant accessibility to the right expert regardless of his whereabouts, access to
proprietary hardware and of his experience with video assisting.
Low or no up-front investments in hardware and training.
The customer need
When a field service worker needs expert assistance, the right expert may be far away, on
the road or on-site somewhere else.
Fast assistance is often critical to avoid downtime, costly errors and wasted time.
Standard video meeting/conference systems do not have the right functionality, i.e. do
not offer “shared view” with “visual instructions”.
Specialized video systems for example for the offshore industry offer “shared view”, but
use proprietary hardware and uses an input device, for example a mouse, for visual
instructions which requires training, is not intuitive and which may further often not be
available on-site.
