2. Pick up a TV guide and choose a serial that has got bilingual broadcast. Then programme your video recorder and record the program you ’ ve chosen

3. 1.-Watch the serial/sitcom once without sound. Bear in mind the following recommendations: -Look at what the characters do: their actions, body movements (head, arms, shoulders, legs), etc. What does this tell you about the story? -Look at their face- eyes, mouth, facial muscles. What does this tell you about their mood? -Think of a possible argument for the episode. What do you think might be happening? -Ask yourself the following questions: WHAT?- WHO?- WHERE?- WHEN?- HOW?- WHY?

4. 2-Write down your answers to the questions above.

5. 3.-Watch the serial / sitcom this time with sound using your notes.

6. 4.-How much of the story did you get right?

7. Next time you watch TV, pay attention to the visual information you see: it will help you understand a great deal of the story!
