A new concept, in the wake of the Participatory Media, provides challenges and opportunities in promoting more active communication among different educational actors. School libraries, promoters and decision makers in educational communication and information management, both in and out of school, can better their performance in order to maximize impact on users, physical space and online. Libraries play a fundamental role in the participatory movement, enhancing the involvement of users in a space with feedback. We intend to reflect on the importance of digital platforms, namely Facebook in a particular case - Biblioteca D. Maria II, realizing in how this platform can be a promoter of participation.
