  1. 1. <ul><li>The Impact Movement envisions each community of African descent fulfilling its destiny as a reflection of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. </li></ul><ul><li>Like in the Joseph story, we believe that the slavery, oppression and obstacles we have faced as a people, was meant for evil, but God is using it for the good, for the saving of many lives. </li></ul>
  2. 2. <ul><li>Impact began as a conference in 1991 to challenge African American college students to get involved in missions. </li></ul><ul><li>In the late ‘90s Impact began to develop campus ministries. </li></ul><ul><li>In 2002, Impact was established as a 501 (c) (3) organization and works in close partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Music is a powerful force that can lead people to God or away from Him. </li></ul><ul><li>Our culture today is dominated by the influence of music, social media and video content. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Impact Music uses the power of the creative arts to point people to Christ
  5. 5. <ul><li>The first Impact Music Summer Mission took place in 2005. </li></ul><ul><li>Since then, Impact Music has formed bands each summer to reach people with the Gospel. </li></ul><ul><li>Through Impact Music thousands have been reached with the gospel and hundreds have given their lives to Christ as a result. </li></ul>

  9. 9. <ul><li>And we get a Biblical perspective on topics like conflict resolution and much more! </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>After a time of training we go on tour to do outreach concerts. </li></ul><ul><li>The tour is designed to help us use our gifts to build God’s kingdom. </li></ul><ul><li>It also is an incredible time of personal growth. </li></ul>
  11. 11. <ul><li>In addition to music, people learn skills like setting up equipment and running sound. </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>We put on concerts to reach people in many different places people such as: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Church Outreaches and Picnics </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Summer Festivals </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Juvenile Detention Centers </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Military Bases and More! </li></ul></ul>

  14. 14. <ul><li>After the gospel is presented we give people an opportunity to invite Christ into their lives. </li></ul><ul><li>We then pass out comment cards before the concert ends to get feedback and see who responded to the invitation. </li></ul>
  15. 15. <ul><li>Our ministry philosophy is more about building partnerships than booking concerts. </li></ul><ul><li>We have had the privilege of reaching out to incarcerated juveniles, homeless, and battered women’s shelters bringing Good News and hope to those who need it. </li></ul><ul><li>In each of those places, we make sure that the host has a plan in place to follow up those who give their lives to Christ. </li></ul>We Build Partnerships…We Offer Hope
