2. Godrej Interio aims to treble turnover at Rs 3,000 cr in 3 yrs Godrej is planning to treble its turnover to Rs 3,000 crore in three years due to growing demand. Godrej Interio is planning to raise its turnover to Rs 3,000 crore from Rs 1,100 during 2009-10, in next three years. Godrej Interio has 50 exclusive showrooms in 18 cities and 800 dealer outlets across the country.
3. IBM deal to support upto 500 mn global Bharti users US Computer giant will provide Bharti Airtel with the IT infrastructure to support 500 million customers across the globe. Bharti currently has about 180 million customers globally and will take several years to reach anywhere close to the 500-million mark. In 2004 Bharti had awarded a 10-year, $750-million IT outsourcing deal to IBM, at that time its customer base was a mere 6 million.
4. Continued…….. IBM will in the next six months scale up Bharti’s global IT platform to support 300 million customers, after which it would immediately be scaled up further to accommodate 500 million users.

Sistema-Shyam approves Russian Federation's $600 mn investment The Russian Federation will put $600 million (about Rs 2,800 crore) in the company, which got pan-India telecom license to offer CDMA based mobile services in January 2008. Sistema-Shyamis a joint venture between Sistema, a Russian diversified group, and of India. Prior to Russian Federation's inclusion, Sistema had a 73.71 per cent stake in the joint venture, while Shyam Group held 23.79 per cent in the company and the remaining 2.5 per cent was held by the public.

7. India can export 75-80 lac bales cotton this year The government has fixed a cap of 55 lakh bales on for the 2010-11 but Agriculture Minister has said that there is a scope for increasing it to 75-80 lakh bales. The booking of cotton exports will begin from October 1 and the shipment would take place from November onwards. According to the estimates of the Agriculture Ministry, cotton production is projected at 335 lakh bales for 2010-11 marketing season, against 239.35 lakh bales last season.
8. Jubilant wants remaining stake of Cadista Holdings Jubilant Organosyshas offered to buy 17.6% stake in US-based Inc Cadistafor Rs 28 crore to make it a wholly-owned company. Jubilant has offered to buy the residual stake of the privately-held Cadista at $0.3 per share. Jubilant owns 82.4% of Cadista through two separate arms. The Indian company had bought 75% stake in Cadistain 2005.
