I coordinate ICT studies and career studies in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the University of Jyväskylä, and teach courses in the interdisciplinary module of Game Studies and Game Development. My on-going doctoral research is on the areas of fan studies and game studies and I am also a board member of the Finnish Game Studies Association as well as the coordinator of the Game Research Network at my university. My work includes promoting educational development in our faculty, especially in the areas of e-learning and blended learning.
