CIPE launched Intercultural Psychology and Education Master’s Program in 2009
(in Hungarian language), as first such program in the region
Intercultural Psychology and Education Master’s Program
in English language from September 2013

study multi- and intercultural issues from the perspective of psychology,
education, anthropology, and the sociology of education
promote the integration of research findings into the training and

1) The Holocaust and Social Conflicts Studies Program (independent program, BA
minor, 50 ECTS) (since 2005)
2) Intercultural studies, education and socialization program (independent program,
BA minor, 50 ECTS) (since 2006)
3) Master program in Intercultural psychology and education (120 ECTS)
(September 2009) – in English since September 2013

Regularly invited guest lecturers
 2 years program (120 ECTS)
 interdisciplinary studies with a focus on psychological and educational issues
 focus on practice: besides theoretical knowledge, students are provided
opportunities to do field work, to gain field experience and develop their skills in
real-life situations (roughly 50% of the credit points are given to practice courses)
 the program is closed with an empirically based thesis work

About the MA program…
The aim of the “Master’s Degree Program
in Intercultural Psychology and Education” is to train
 experts who can understand the characteristics of intercultural relationships
and communication
 experts who are able to co-ordinate the work of people of different cultures
effectively in various fields of private, public or civil organizations, both at
national and international level
Master’s Degree Program in Intercultural Psychology and Education
Purposes of the program
Students will be trained
 to manage inevitable tensions and conflicts emerging in the process of co-
operation
 to use diversity as a resource for the benefit of the whole society
 to create a tolerant social environment in which everyone enjoys equal rights
and opportunities to develop their own abilities
 to support the integration of minorities – particularly that of Romas, migrants
and refugees.
 to help the training and the mobility of people on the international labor
market
 to promote equality of opportunities for members of disadvantaged groups,
who suffer from prejudices, and explicit or implicit discrimination.
