Mobile Value Added Services has witnessed unprecedented growth during these times of cut
throat competition among telecom service providers and will continue its growth path. To keep
up the momentum, the market requires continuous innovation.
To Emphasis on this analysis is to understand the competitors product in the market
and to innovate and provide with the new versions to the customers.
4. Competitor’s RBT product
In the current scenario we are surrounded with many competitor products. To gain the market
leadership we need to deeply analyze the competitor’s product and develop the upgraded one
with the new technology.
Apart from the normal RBT/Call me tune. IMI Mobile has developed the new RBT product
called Make My Tunes which was launched by Aircel for Tamilnadu customers.
This service enables users to listen to a full song and choose any part of the song as their
RBT. Additionally, this gives users the option to download the selected part of the song as
Ringtone or dedicate the song to friends, providing a unified music experience to consumers.

To overcome the obstacles from the competitors product we need to distinguish with the
upgraded version or feature.
In the previous slide we learned about the new feature in the RBT products where it allows the
user to edit and select the clip as RBT from the full song.
We can conceptualize the better technology of RBT products to go neck to neck with the
market competition..

We will develop a product where the user can set the RBT while hearing the song from a
live radio channel.
How it works?
The VAS Company need to tie up with the metropolitan city radio channel which has its
largest listeners. It enables the user to select a particular keyword while listening to the
song in a radio and thus from the backend it sets the song to the users by sending the
confirmation SMS.
The product to be names as Radio RBT.

After brainstorming with the product managers and engineering team we can go live with the
product which can generate huge revenues.

Strengths - What are the advantages?
It concentrates on the large number of radio listeners and thus the subscribers can
tremendously grow from the existing IVR app.

New entrants with the same technology or with the better one.

In the emerging market of 3G we need to focus more on upgraded services of RBT.
We can conceptualize new products to the market which can hold for the long time and unless
we move to the upgraded or new one.
