3. A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRIP
Your Retreat Venue is a Tamani Villas. From its very inception, Tamani
Villas was always going to be more than a luxury travel destination.
Tamani Villas is a part of Tamani Foundation.
Tamani foundation is a non-profit organization located in north-east
Zanzibar in the village of Matemwe, whose vision is to support the local
residents in their pursuit of high quality early childhood and adult
education.
This has been possible by establishing a thriving nursery school (on the
picture) for children ages 4 to 6, and adult classes to bring the benefits of
education to both generations.
The nursery program builds a strong foundation for the youngsters
to continue their primary education, while the adult program in
English and Computer provide adult learners with the essential
tools required to attain a job opportunity in Zanzibar’s thriving
tourism industry.
To fund the running of the foundation, we have our beautiful
beach villas with private swimming pools that we have for rent. All
proceeds from the villas are directly channeled to the running of
the school. Your next holiday at Tamani Villas can make a change
for the people of Matemwe. Welcome – Karibu Sana!
