13. Lunar New Year’s Day
Lunar New Year’s Day is the biggest holiday in Korea and is
called “Seol” or “Seolnal”.
“Seol” means “to be careful” or “unfamilliar”
15. Things we do in Seolnal
Whole family members gather together and do the
offering to ancestors. (Chare)
Wake up early and take a bath and put the “solbim” on.
“solbim” are new clothes.
Play traditional games like Yutnori, Jegichagi, Tuho,
Kite flying, etc.

Pile the coins and tape them together
Grab a cut piece of plastic bag and roll the coin inside
Hold the coin inside the plastic bag and tie it using a
rubber band
Cut and decorate the paper, be careful not to cut too
close to the washer

Use your feet!

Keep the Jegi in the air as long as you can!
The winner is who can kick the Jegi the most
Play alone or with friend
