I was born in Ecuador, but I have lived most of my life in the United States. To me higher education
was an abstract dream due to the increasing tuition cost of universities and limited financial aid
available to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (D.A.C.A) students. I knew where I stood in
American society as a D.A.C.A, firstā€“generation and lowā€“income student. Thus, my commitment to
work with educationā€“related issues is the result of my personal, academic, and professional journey.
It's my belief that children deserve a quality education regardless of their economic background. For
this reason my career goal is to establish an organization that will break barriers and limitations for
students in disadvantaged socioeconomic and sociopolitical communities. To successfully undertake
this career path, I must further expand my knowledge in education and enhance my problem solving
skills in the field of education. The only program that could offer me such opportunity is the
Education Management program at King's College London.
As a D.A.C.A and firstā€“generation, lowā€“income student, I had an 8% and11% chance, respectively,
of graduating college. These...show more content...
In particular, I am interested in learning from Professor Becky Francis, whose research on
education inequality I find it fascinating. I was personally captivated by her paper "What would a
socially just education system look like?" where Francis and Mills provide not only an analysis of
education but also possible principles for a socially just education system. To me the paper
mentioned above shows her genuine passion in issues of educational inequality and it constructs
alternative solutions for issues in education. Her research was very informative, inspirational and, in
my case, relatable to the condition of education in Latin

I have always been energized by competition. Sometimes too much so, as I have difficulty

I am writing to express my interest in the Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a
concentration in STEM (stem, technology, engineering and mathematics) program that begins in
August.
I currently hold a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from Prairie View
A&M University. My GPA from Prairie View A&M University wasn't my best work. At that time, I
was young and on my own for the first time and I lived life as a young person. Prior to attending
Prairie View A&M University, I was dedicated on receiving excellent grades in school, because of
my hard work I graduated from high school number three in my class. In college, I made mistakes
and learned from those mistakes. I was so elated to be the first person in my family to graduate
from college. My interest in teaching led me to complete a teacher's deficiency plan from Texas

As an undergraduate student, I always had the idea of attending graduate school, but it almost felt
like it was unattainable. I constantly doubted myself and thought that it would be a miracle if I
were to finish my undergraduate career. However, with time I realized that living in doubt and in

We are thankful and excited for this opportunity to present our proposal to implement our secure
admission technology for future college students. Future Canada Inc. is a new company that
provides an online platform and field office to assist students in their graduate admission process.
Mr. Chacko founded Future Canada Inc. extensive list of credentials includes: certified project

Associate Professor of Computer Science. This experience makes Future Canada Inc. a place where
students are at the core of our operations, which in turn enhance their student experience.
Issues with manual admission process
When students select a college, they have already spend huge amounts of time in the search,
selection, and recruitment process. Once students are ready to complete the enrollment process they
expect a flawless process. Unfortunately, barriers such as lack of knowledge, time constraints,
language barriers and time zone difference compound an already stressful experience.
There is no centralized graduate application process in Canada, universities function autonomously
therefore, and each has its own admission requirements. Usually to apply for graduate study in
Canada, students need to complete an application, submit...show more content...

Why I Want to Attend Graduate School Essay
I would like to Attend Capella University's Masters Program in School Counseling. I have always
known that I wanted to work with children ever since I can remember. Working with children is
something that I have always enjoyed doing even if it was tutoring, or just being around them.
The reason I want to receive my Master's Degree in School Counseling is to become a Guidance
Counselor. Being a guidance counselor you can make a difference in a child's life, whether it's
talking to them about their grades, peer pressure, or any of the things that children of all ages go

The program that I was assigned to work with was the After School Program. At first I was just an

throughout the entire school year. When some of the kids came there they were struggling with
certain subjects such as reading and math. When they received their first report card the grades
were kind of low, but after a while there grades slowly progressed and they were so excited to
show me there grades it made me so happy. It made me feel good to know that I made a difference
in their lives. After I finished my needed hours for the internship I still stayed at the center
because I felt like the kids there needed me and I made a difference in their lives. I guess the
director felt I was such a huge help to the students that they decided to hire me full time. Due to
lack of funding the center closed down and the students no longer had a place to go. I still keep in

As I begin to prepare myself for entering college life, there are a few concepts I plan to keep a focus

Sustainability is an idea that we have been taught in different connotations that has influenced the

This has a deep meaning to me because of my experience of four years in FFA; "Living to Serve"
is a part of the FFA motto I choose to live by. To me "Living to Serve" means putting others' needs
above yours, using your life as a service to others and dedicating a part of your life to better others,
even if it's just one person. I have also embraced this motto by serving as the chapter and district
President where I have dedicated a significant amount of my time to better my chapter and district
to improve the member's experience. This includes leading workshops for chapter presidents in
the district, holding chapter fun nights to build better relationships, and working with a team of
five other officers to complete a successful year. I have also demonstrated this belief in my life by
volunteering my time for community service, such as a local animal rescue center and also in
small ways like taking the time to help fellow students with school work. I plan to continue this
way of life into college by pursuing the career I know will put my service to best use. PLU has a

Graduate Admissions Committee, Freshman year of undergraduate school was an overwhelming

Pursuing A Graduate Degree Essay
Pursuing a graduate degree, specifically a PhD, is a decision that was made only in the last few
years. This new direction was largely based on my recent exposure to higher education in general,
but to minority women in higher education specifically. To help explain how this exposure helped
to propel my desire to pursue a graduate degree at this point in my life, I feel it's important to
provide you with some background information and context of my upbringing. My parents are
immigrated from Mexico shortly after getting married. Although my father had been coming to
the United States since he was a teen to work, he did this seasonally and would return to Mexico
when the agricultural season ended. After my parents married they settled in a small agricultural
town in a coastal town of California. It is in this small town that my parents raised their 6 children.
Holding on to their traditional values we were raised in a traditional manner; from a young age the
girls were expected to help out in the house and contribute by doing housework while the boys were
expected to help my father which included helping out in the fields. It was in this way that my
parents tried to instill many of the same values which they had acquired in their youth growing up in
Mexico. Although they wanted us to do well in school it wasn't something that was strongly
emphasized. Perhaps it was due to their limited exposure to education and the lack of educational
opportunities my parent's had growing up.

  • 1. Example Of A College Admission Essay Sample I was born in Ecuador, but I have lived most of my life in the United States. To me higher education was an abstract dream due to the increasing tuition cost of universities and limited financial aid available to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (D.A.C.A) students. I knew where I stood in American society as a D.A.C.A, firstā€“generation and lowā€“income student. Thus, my commitment to work with educationā€“related issues is the result of my personal, academic, and professional journey. It's my belief that children deserve a quality education regardless of their economic background. For this reason my career goal is to establish an organization that will break barriers and limitations for students in disadvantaged socioeconomic and sociopolitical communities. To successfully undertake this career path, I must further expand my knowledge in education and enhance my problem solving skills in the field of education. The only program that could offer me such opportunity is the Education Management program at King's College London. As a D.A.C.A and firstā€“generation, lowā€“income student, I had an 8% and11% chance, respectively, of graduating college. These...show more content... I was personally captivated by her paper "What would a socially just education system look like?" where Francis and Mills provide not only an analysis of education but also possible principles for a socially just education system. To me the paper mentioned above shows her genuine passion in issues of educational inequality and it constructs alternative solutions for issues in education. Her research was very informative, inspirational and, in my case, relatable to the condition of education in Latin Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Research is a crucial aspect of trading stocksā€“ understanding recent trends and comprehending information on a company or business allows me to project the future trend of a certain stock. • 14. Graduate Admission Essay Graduate Admissions Committee, Freshman year of undergraduate school was an overwhelming adjustment for me. I had chosen to attend college at Edinboro University, two hours from home and for the first time had to develop my own academic schedule, social schedule, and delegate time for studying and projects. Unfortunately, my academics reflect the strain I was under while trying to find my balance. I don't consider this a weakness but a strength as I spent the rest of my academic career trying to make up for the academic mistakes of my first semester. My personal ambition to complete my degree persevered even in my junior year when I experienced a personal tragedy when my aunt, whom I looked up to as a second mother, passed away. • 15. Example Of Admission Essay Sample I was raised in an environment where my parents ā€“ a physician and a molecular biologist ā€“ freely discussed scientific developments, moral questions and current events, encouraging me to have my own opinions. These discussions sparked my fascination for STEM subjects. In school, I have taken the most rigorous courses and have been involved in Science Olympiad since I was eleven, competing in events including Anatomy, Heredity, Disease Detectives, Protein Modeling, and Forensics. My parents supported me as I began to experience gender bias in STEM subjects and inspired me to do my best. This motivated me to become class president and principal flutist in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. While the environment I grew up in contributed to...show more content... I choked back tears as they informed me that I would be 4 feet 8 inches without the medicine, and there was no guarantee I would ever reach 5 feet, even with the shots. Growing up, I was teased a lot about my height, now I had a choice and decided to pursue treatment. In the end, I gave my own shots, and even surpassed the doctor's projected height for me, and am now 5' 2" tall. I am amazed at the impact of modern medicine and its farā€“reaching consequence in my own life. The compassion and empathy that the doctors showed to me through this difficult time inspired me to pursue a medical career. To determine if I would be suited, I did the Careers in Health and Medical Professions program at Cleveland State University and have shadowed several doctors, engaged in community service, volunteered in hospitals, hospices, and a dialysis center. I carried out research at the Ohio Supercomputer Center, where I used computer simulations to determine the stability of the Zika virus. These experiences have solidified my desire to become a doctor. Example Of Admission Essay Sample The ultimate goal of Pediatrics is to provide every child with an equal opportunity to reach and maintain good health regardless of socioā€“economic challenges. I have had the opportunity to attend medical school in China and to practice medicine in India. These experiences have played a key role in shaping my ability to adapt, operate, and thrive in an atmosphere of growing challenges. Practising in areas of diverse backgrounds has given me the flexibility to adapt to people from various cultures, religious backgrounds, and languages. My academic path, career and personal experiences within these countries has greatly shaped my approach to medicine. For the first time I had the opportunity to work with an advanced Neonatology team, and the exposure was very educational as it introduced me to the new "family centered" medical care. The hospital encouraged parents to play a more prominent role in the care of their newborns with the help of a multidisciplinary team. The value of such an approach was most evident when I was able to explain the pathophysiology of Necrotizing Enterocolitis to concerned parents, who could not grasp the need for a delay in starting their newborn on feeds. I involved the parents by contrasting a normal abdominal xā€“ray to the changing abdominal gas patterns in their baby. Spending the time to educate them on their child's condition was fruitful as it aided them in their medical decision process. This experience was reflective of my time as a volunteer in an underserved facility in India where parents had a far more limited role in the care of their child. If the parents are given the opportunity to play a partial role in the medical care of their child they could better assist in the preventive care and future medical Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Pursuing A Graduate Degree Essay Pursuing a graduate degree, specifically a PhD, is a decision that was made only in the last few years. This new direction was largely based on my recent exposure to higher education in general, but to minority women in higher education specifically. To help explain how this exposure helped to propel my desire to pursue a graduate degree at this point in my life, I feel it's important to provide you with some background information and context of my upbringing. My parents are immigrated from Mexico shortly after getting married. Although my father had been coming to the United States since he was a teen to work, he did this seasonally and would return to Mexico when the agricultural season ended. After my parents married they settled in a small agricultural town in a coastal town of California. It is in this small town that my parents raised their 6 children. Holding on to their traditional values we were raised in a traditional manner; from a young age the girls were expected to help out in the house and contribute by doing housework while the boys were expected to help my father which included helping out in the fields. It was in this way that my parents tried to instill many of the same values which they had acquired in their youth growing up in Mexico. Although they wanted us to do well in school it wasn't something that was strongly emphasized. Perhaps it was due to their limited exposure to education and the lack of educational opportunities my parent's had growing up. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Example Of A Admission Essay Sample My enthusiasm for aerospace began after attending a presentation from BAE Systems about their manufacturing programmes, namely their aircraft . Aircraft that oppose the conventional laws of aviation, or exceed the frontier of human innovation, are beyond doubt one of the marvels of our technological advances. I believe pursuing a career in aerospace will complement my determination and dedication to advance my understanding of applied physics and mathematics. My passion was emboldened by the government's commitment to partner and fund the UK aerospace industry to help young people, like myself, to build a career in aerospace. Currently there is a shortage of engineers in the UK, this inspires me to become part of the next generation of engineers with an aim to establish a worldā€“leading industry in aerospace and aeronautics, and to exceed the boundaries of engineering. One of my most innate qualities is my mathematical ability and understanding. To expand upon this, I decided to compose my education at college with primarily mathā€“based subjects. This matured my communicational and team working skills. I volunteered at a nursery for three hours a week within the course of three months, and I also went back to my high school as a Maths peer mentor for younger students. From this I have become more responsible and I learned the importance of adapting my interpersonal communicational skills when working with people of different ages and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Graduate School Admissions Essay 'Slow and steady wins the race', they say. Nothing best describes my passage through life as does this adage: mine has been flanked by academic challenges and high family standards. Yet, I have not only always pulled through but have done so most gallantly, even finishing best at some levels. Primary and Secondary Schools education were for me, not quite fulfilling, that is at first. I was quite poor in Mathematics. Having older siblings who excelled in all subjects did not make it any easier. Everyone compared me with them. As a result, I had a low self esteem and continued to perform poorly until my final secondary examinations. It was then that I told myself I could do it. I burnt the midnight oil for days on end and prayed...show more content... Even so, I realized that I would have to thrive among a large class of students most of whom could already read, write and speak French. With a foundation steeped in resolve, I again made up my mind to give it my best shot. I decided to do more than merely survive and so, I began teaching, on Saturdays, at a French club for children between the ages of 3 and 14. I used songs and poems as learning aids and assisted them in doing assignments from their various schools. I also spent hours in the university library, poring over any book that was written in French, and checking up French vocabulary in my dictionary. Although I had to sacrifice time that would have been used in leisure, it was well worth the effort. I graduated 5th best in a class of 135 people. The secret of my conquest was simple, albeit riddled with painstaking attempts and occasional failures: 'If you fail, try again!' Learning French also fulfilled my interests in traveling. I had the opportunity to visit Frenchā€“speaking African countries like Benin Republic and Togo. I did not only become fluent in the language, but also came to understand how the culture, beliefs, and traditions of man shape what values he represents. Likewise, I realized that factors such as art, literature, language, music, dance, laws, wars among others, are all key in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
