My Mother And Mother
My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the
picture for a majority of my childhood, he was also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my
upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often
depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ
slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a young kid I remember my sister and I being very
aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I
think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an
authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very clear that she was the parent and in charge,
however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with
questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed
me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such
a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who
would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded
and understanding. My mom was always my parent first and my friend second. I knew what was
expected of me and I was disciplined for bad behavior, however I always knew I could go to her with
anything I needed.
My father, like many addicts was

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
My mother Christy Rehn has many great qualities that make up who she is today. First, to give a
physical description; she is a female and is 44 years old about 5'5 . She has short dark brown hair
that goes down to her shoulders. Her eyes are as brown as a bear and are very fast moving. One
great quality is that my mom is very funny. She enjoys a good laugh when she's feeling happy or not
feeling well at all. She enjoys spending time with her family. Especially, going to the movies as well
as sitting out on the beach on a hot sunny day. My mom isn't just another average person, she shares
her many unique qualities that allow others to see who she really is on the inside. Walking in from
school, I saw Christy running around and thinking...show more content...
Her opinion towards others is that some are better than others. I think that she has the ability to
inspire others since she is a teacher and in general. She makes others feel like they are welcome in
this world and that they can accomplish anything they work hard on or put their mind to. Taking
responsibility is something my mom really follows through on she makes a big to commitment to
her job, who she married, and especially to her kids. She is determined to make what we want to
become a reality. She thinks that nothing is impossible, you just have to work for your goals and
never back down from what you are doing. Her sense of humor is something that I love she is
hilarious and tells the best stories. I know that having boundaries is something us kids don't like
but it's a good thing on the parent side. While my mom loves me, she will be upset with me if I
make a serious mistake and there will be consequences. This shows that she has good parenting
and is loyal to what she says and does. My mom is a wonderful listener, if I tell her that I have a
big test coming up or that I got into trouble at school she will remind me each day to study for the
test coming up. She will then sit down with me to discuss what had happened that day at school.
It's like my mom has a daily agenda in her mind. She always knows what's going on the day being
like if I have a soccer game or if my sisters going out with friend etc, she

Essay About My Mother 's Pregnancy
They talked just long enough for my father to get what we wanted out of the deal. Shortly after, she
discovered that she was pregnant with me. I think it 's so funny now because my father likes to say
"I just blew on your mom, and she got pregnant. I don 't know how that happened." During my
mother 's pregnancy, she discovered a lot of things about my father that would make the average
woman infuriated. She found out that he already had a daughter (my oldest sister, Tia) with
another woman from his hometown, Detroit, Michigan. And while he was "seeing" her (for a
better choice of words) he was also "seeing" another woman who lived in the same area of the city
that she lived. And if that wasn 't enough, she found out that woman was also pregnant by my father
with my oldest brother, Angel, who is only five months older than me. To make it even worse, she
did not obtain any of this information from my father. She learned this information on a trip to the
mall, from a mutual friend that my mother and Angel 's mother did not know they shared. My
mother was extremely heartbroken and depressed after finding out all of this. She actually believed
that her and my father had a future together; which is a joke in itself knowing my father's past.
She was in a deep depression for a long period of time. But she knew that she would have to get over
it because she was about to have a daughter. She that she would have to raise me regardless if my
father were going to be in the picture

Narrative Essay : My Mom
For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very
blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and self–reserved person. She does have manners and
she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and
independent. She wasn't born with these qualities, she went through a lot of different struggles, but
that's how she ended up where she is today.
My mom didn't have a very good high school experience. Her mom always moved, which caused
her to move. Which caused her to have few friends. She never participated in sports or arts. She
mostly focused on her home life and school. Her mom never really supported her. When asked about
the future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by
moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and when will I get my homework done?"
My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So,
as you can imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and
uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt Terri and I would go to her parent's
house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting."
Essentially, Aunt Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on
different things. "They were the ones that came to my volleyball games and made cupcakes for the

It took me a few years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has been on my life.
She's the kind of person who always has time for her kids, always interested in learning something
new, would sacrifice herself for her family, and is easily the strongest woman in my eyes. Growing
up, I know I haven't been the best son in the world but if you were to ask her, she would say
otherwise. Looking back, my mom is the most positive and important influence on my life. My
mother actually is an ordinary woman but in her tiny appearance shines an extraordinary fortitude,
perseverance, an altruistic soul and is very kind hearted. The kind of mother who brought me up with
her whole kindly heart, the kind of persistent woman with...show more content...
Growing up in a poor family, my mother must work very hard to earn her living since an early age.
Due to shortage of material condition, she herself has trained an extremely strong will and ability
to sedately deal with each difficulty and stand up to move on from her failures. I vividly
remember the calamity poured down on my family when my mother' business went bankrupt. We
had to sell our house and leave for another town to begin from "zero". This critical time made
every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women,
strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief,
and the way she overcame difficulties to move on has made an indelible impression in my mind,
leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to
firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there
was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and was about to give up everything. After the
constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to
deal with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that
was also the time that I acquired from my mother how to learn from her mistakes and developed my
own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination.

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
When I was 14 years old, I realized that my mom and I are very similar. My mom and I have
always been close. We laugh and joke with each other and can also have serious conversations
with one another. The two of us both have dark coffee colored hair that's almost a hazelnut color
in the sun. Our eyes are penny brown that can change to almost a caramel color. We look very
similar and think very similar as well. We are literally almost the same person mentally. One
afternoon, my mom and I were sitting next to one another when she began talking to me about
how when she was in high school, about my age, she began to write poetry and keep a journal.
She went on to tell me how her and her friends would take the journal whenever her or the other
girls had inspiration for a poem. A little later she found the dusty, beat up, old spiral notebook and
showed it to me. She began skimming through the wrinkled pages as they crunched between her
fingertips. Her eyes lit up as she found one of her favorite poems. "I remember the day I wrote
this, I remember every feeling I had when writing this down," She said with pure excitement.
"Really? How can you remember something so minor as that after all these years?" "Hey! It
wasn't THAT long ago! But I remember it because it was very special to me." "Makes sense I
guess. Can I read it?" "I'll read it, Your face in the moonlight Our hearts once one But now we are
nothing but broken glass Reflections of our past Footprints on my heart Lust in my soul For fear
of what's to come But I know I am not the one..." "That's really cool!" "You like it? Well, why
don't you keep it? Use it for some inspiration and maybe you could start writing your own as well."
"Thank you! I'll take great care of it." "I know you will," My mom smiled as bright as the
morning sun. Her face lit up with joy knowing that I may start to follow in her footsteps. To this
day I still use that book to help me when writing song lyrics, it has really come in handy. My mom
and I always joke that we have mental telepathy but neither one of us really believed it until one
day when we were at the store. We were both there for separate things so we decided to split up and
meet in a different area when we were done. I

Personal Narrative : My Mother And My Mom
After my mother and I have an argument she usually smiles at me and says, it's because we're so
much alike that we argue. She reminds me that our lack of communicating often stirs more trouble
than why we were arguing. I used to get upset that my mom didn't set time aside for our family to
spend time together or make us eat together at the dinner table. I was upset because I was comparing
our family to my friends' families. I valued those things and assumed my mom didn't, but I was
wrong. My mom had so much on her mind everyday it was breaking her on the inside. Not only
had I wanted my mom to be like my friend's moms, now I had wanted my mom to be different
because she was depressed. Bonhoeffer mentions that we desire images of others that we want, but
aren't the true image they bear as Christ's (pg37–38). At first I was puzzled. How is a good image of
mine, not Christ's image for her? I learned that His image is neither right nor wrong, but simply
uniquely divine. My mom could have done those things, but her whole life would have had to be
different, and I would never want to change who my mom is.
The few times we did get to spend time together as a family, it wouldn't feel like it. I knew all the
relationships between my family members. I was the one who they told everything to but ask me
not to tell anyone. This was a lot of weight on my shoulders because I began caring for everyone
else's relationships; especially my mom's because my brother and sister would argue

No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one
person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and
a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person
as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check
and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and

kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us

if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost
nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is
very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later.
She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would
love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music.
She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on
what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that
I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend
time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the
opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

My Mother: The Best Mother
My mother has many wonderful traits, but there's a few that stand out. First of all, her wisdom is
outstanding. She provides great advice no matter the situation. Also, I'd say she has a positive
mentality. She always has this optimistic point of view for everything. Ultimately, the trait that
stands out in her the most is compassion. It's incredible the way she shows compassion towards
everyone. Her way of demonstrating compassion is very unique. She always puts herself in everyone
else's shoes, without naming their flaws. Overall, she the best mother I could have asked for.

He gave us the hospitals name and we instantly looked it up in the GPS and my mother drove us
there. We quickly ran up to the floor where my brother was being treated. As soon as we saw my
father sitting in the waiting room my mother ran up him to ask him what did the doctors say
about my brother. He said that due to his grave condition he had to be placed in intensive care.
That as soon as my brother's condition stabilized, we would be able to see him. My mother was
trying to be strong, I could see it in her eyes and in the way she talked. Since time was passing by
and we were already tired, my father took us to a hotel and left us there. He then went back to the
hospital with my mother. Days went by and little improvement was shown, things were beginning
to look good. Nurses informed us that we were able to see my brother. But only two people can
be in the room at once. So both of my parents went in first. Then after a while, my brothers and I
went in. He was in a bed asleep, he looked tired and exhausted. We decided to leave and let him
rest. Finally, a doctor came out the door and through the hallway looking for my parents. My
mother quickly stood up and asked him how was my brother doing. The doctor said that my brother
had the flu and two other viruses that he had encountered most probably in the previous hospital.
My mother's face was sadness in every sense

My Most Important Mentors In My Life : My Mother
I could say I have many mentors in my life, but my most important mentor is my mom. A mentor
to me is someone who critically guides you through your life decisions and provokes endless
learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a
mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. She
gives me every tool I could possibly need to succeed through primary school and onto
postsecondary schooling. She has always given me words of encouragement, been honest when I
am in the wrong, and has always pushed me to reach my potential. I went to my mom on a
Sunday, which is family day in our house. We went out to lunch with my brother since he was
visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and
my topics. In my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life,
Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have a meaningful life. My mom
believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or
other people's opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the
things you do in your everyday life. When discussing Mitch's second topic, family, my mom
believes that the most important thing is that family is there for you to be honest, and to be critical
of your decisions in life. We both agreed they should be supportive of your passions and beliefs,

My Relationship With My Mother Essay
My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25,
1995, and it continues to this day even though she lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a
part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their
lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my
biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To be more specific about my mother is
that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband
(my father), and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis.
As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that have unique meanings to a particular
relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal
idioms. Every time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the
two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that she calls me. Even though we
don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away
from each other we both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both
make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired relationship. I do this by
making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. She also does this
by talking to me one a week but also finding time to

My Mother, My Friend
My Mother, My Friend It is not easy, moving back home with your parents as an adult. Especially
when you are the parent of grown children yourself. Due to circumstances beyond my control, that
is what I had to do. Although I had been out of my parents home for over thirty years and had
been married (and divorced) moving back home kind of felt like I had never left. I believe that is
because my parents were treating me as though I was the unruly teenager I once was. That and the
fact I was in MY bedroom. I choose to do my relationship analysis paper on my relationship with my
mother Juanita. My mom has Alzheimer's, and communication can be frustrating at times. The three
communication concepts I will focus on are, 1. Becoming a better listener, 2, Expressing myself
to her in a way she can better understand and 3. Paying better attention to her nonverbal cues. I
love my mother dearly, and want to be able to communicate with her the best we can. My mother
is one of the most important people in my life. In fact, she is probably THE most important
person in my life. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is thoughtful and she is honest. She is a good
wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There is not a mean bone in her body. I have
worked for the last fifteen years doing in Home Health Care for Alzheimer's patients and their
families, so when my mom got diagnosed I was devastated. I was devastated because I know how
this game ends, and it breaks my

My Mother Essay
What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics.
There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair
to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I
financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I
mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential
amenities to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care.

She would encourage me by simply saying, "Complaining is a useless way to solve problems, but
becoming active on the issue is a great way to conquer it. My mother My mother has always had
strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring
prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the
seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time
was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us
with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's
rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good,
occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came
to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the
agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see
the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give,
whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
I was the one who discovered it. It was shocking and almost unbearable to see someone who I had
known since kindergarten to be so full of light, draped across the bed without a speck of color.
Despite her hardship in her latter years, Aimee was a character of joy, always seeing the best in
everyone and everything. She had no outspoken enemies, although not everyone was as
thoughtful to her as she was to them. Her only known adversaries were the boys who she always
would turn down. She waited for one that would be on the same intellectual and emotional level as
her, if that were even possible for a guy her age. She was reserved, yet outspoken when a voice was
needed to be heard. She was caring and as graceful as can be. Always as light as a feather, even
when walking down a busy hallway with her heavy books or through a crowded party,
heavy–limbed from the alcohol. Her last few years of high school were rough, while the worse
than usual rumors stacked up on the endless schoolwork which stacked up on her abusive father at
home. Outwardly, she was still happy except on that night. It was the twelfth year of going to the
cabin. We had transitioned from our first year there, filled with juvenile acts from sledding, hide
and seek, and early bedtimes. Now during the break for our last year of high school, our parents
stayed behind, and the only time we were out in the snow was to throw–up booze. Throughout the
years, our friend group increased and so did the drama. People from

My Reflection On My Mother Essay
A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her.
There are many different definitions you could use to describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull,
fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I
admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving
she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where she is today. I will begin by telling you a little
bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and
Bev Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School
when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in a lot of different activities. She was in
the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in
student council, secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung
out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also. She babysat a lot, worked at
the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended
youth group at Hope Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior
in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They then had three beautiful
daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. My mom went to Northwestern College in Orange City,
Iowa, to get her education

Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother
My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister,
and I moved across the globe to find better opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two
jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in anything
we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no
brakes or vacation. She is the person who inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my
best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her own and
for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she
does not take time out for herself. During the death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve
over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was
when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister
happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to her by making her proud of me. With her as
my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for the high
school traveling band, which was a truly challenging band to get into. I was one of only six
freshmen to get in. Joining that band allowed me to experience my first time traveling with the
school across the country to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most prestigious
halls to perform in the world. I

Personal Essay : Losing My Mother
Losing My Mother I can still remember vividly the day my mother passed away. My mother
passed away at a critical point in my life when I was seventeen years old from a short term illness.
She was sick for a week and I remember thinking this could be serious, however, my mother
declined to go to the hospital because of the distance and financial hardship. I had loss my father
when I was three years old, so my mother was a single mother. I have step sisters and brother, but
I was not particularly close to them. Losing my mother was a defining moment in my life for it
changed my life irrevocably. I was devastated, but I had to become strong, proactive and it spurred
me to choose a new career path. Losing my mother was very traumatising. She was the only
parent I knew since the age of three and the one person I knew I could depend on one hundred
percent. I was in school when one of my cousin came to inform me that I was to return home
immediately. In my gut I knew something serious must have happened to my mother. I do not
remember how I got home. When I saw several people crying at my home and nobody was really
make eye contact with me, I just started to cry too and that is when someone told me how sorry
they were for my loss. I was in shock for more than three days. I did not sleep nor eat and I did not
shade single tears after the initial outburst. Basically I just wanted to crawl in a corner and never
wake up from the nightmare. However, I had to become an adult and I

My Mother In My Life
My mother is a very complicated woman. I believe the best way to describe her would be, "the
road to hell is paved with good intentions." I know, weird way to start off my literary story, right?
As much as I do not like my mother, I love her, and respect her. While I am being honest, I owe my
work ethic and a vast majority of my success to her, as much as I hate to admit it. The way she
lived her life, most college graduates and the societal hoity toity types would raise their noses to.
However, you can't deny her dedication to her children and their education, she is the start of my
literacy journey. My mother wasn't always...how do it put this? Let's go with questionable, and she
was stable and the picture–perfect mother when she was married to my father. My mother and
father thought it would be beneficial for her to stay at home with my twin brother and I. Flash
cards were always there, before Kindergarten my mom made sure my twin and I could count to
100, we knew our ABC's, we could write our names, our parents' names, knew our address and
phone number. Every Thursday we went to the public library for story time and to pick out our
books for the week. Before nap and before bed we would read one of Miguel's books and one of
mine, some of the books we read so much that my brother and I memorized the stories. We would
even pretend to read those favorite stories. As the years went on and we went to school my mother
was super involved. She had all our grades emailed to her,

My Inspiration My mom essentially is the most inspirational person to me in a basically big way.
When I specifically feel down she comforts me, or so they for all intents and purposes though.
She listens to all of my problems and reassures me when my insecurities essentially come out in a
generally major way. She's also very determined, when she mostly puts her mind to something,
she exceeds basically past her goals, pretty contrary to popular belief. She kind of is not just my
mom she for the most part is also my really the best friend in a for all intents and purposes major
way. My mom for all intents and purposes is an pretty much older version of myself, she's definitely
short with kind of brown hair in a particularly major way. She literally has intimidating kind of green
eyes, which...show more content...
She mostly has so basically any sort of other qualities, but these definitely are the ones that actually
stand out to me in a subtle way. She really has for all intents and purposes many different
mannerisms. When she's happy she essentially bounces off the walls like a kid on Halloween night,
generally further showing how she doesn't judge people based on their race, weight, sexuality, etc,
fairly further showing how when she particularly was younger she basically had kind of big hair
because she kind of lived in the 80's in a subtle way. When she's sad she doesn't show it because
she can very timid, so she wore leg warmers and fairly bright neon colors in a pretty major way.
When she's angry she will essentially let you know, demonstrating that she actually puts her foot
down and generally holds her ground when she particularly has to, pretty further showing how she
really was a very stylish teenager, which mostly is quite significant. When she's proud, she tells me
and generally makes generally sure I basically know she literally loves me in a particularly big

What Does My Family Mean To You Essay
This essay is about how my family has raised me since the day that I was born. Also, I will talk
about my illness and the community around me how they have helped me throughout life.
"My family" one of the best words that I love, because my family has raised me since I was born.
Coming out to the world and starting to develop my body system as the years move on has been
great. Especially, my mother she has been there for me and one of the things that makes me feel
great is that she never goes by herself I always tend to be by her side. Even though I tend to talk to
her bad, not pay any attention to her makes me feel bad because she is my mother the one that has
taken care of me since the day that I came to the world. That is why my mother...show more content...
Both of my parents knew what was going on during those years they felt very sad for me especially,
because I would not understand the situation that I am in. However, as of now both my parents and
me understand how everything will eventually change, but we are capable of having fun here in the
world because god knows that we can achieve anything.
The last main point is my community, because they were always there for me they never let me
do things alone. I remember when I had my surgery I was in bed for a whole week it felt
miserable. Not having people coming to see me felt bad, even though I helped them in some
things they did not appreciate it. Until one day my neighbors and friends came to see me I felt
great, because they made me do everything so I can get out of the hospital as soon as possible.
When I got home and the days passed I started to recover from that surgery and got to the routine
with the neighbors they helped me in tasks and I helped them back it was good. Thanks to them
coming to visit me in the hospital, because if I was lonely chances are that I would even be in the
hospital still or something else would of happened. That is why I am enjoyable on having those
close neighbors and friends because they are capable of helping one another.
I would want the rep to know how my illness made my family raise me differently, and how my
community has also been part of helping me. It will be good for them to know all this because it

An Essay About My Mother

  • 1. My Mother And Mother My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the picture for a majority of my childhood, he was also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a young kid I remember my sister and I being very aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very clear that she was the parent and in charge, however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded and understanding. My mom was always my parent first and my friend second. I knew what was expected of me and I was disciplined for bad behavior, however I always knew I could go to her with anything I needed. My father, like many addicts was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About My Mother My mother Christy Rehn has many great qualities that make up who she is today. First, to give a physical description; she is a female and is 44 years old about 5'5 . She has short dark brown hair that goes down to her shoulders. Her eyes are as brown as a bear and are very fast moving. One great quality is that my mom is very funny. She enjoys a good laugh when she's feeling happy or not feeling well at all. She enjoys spending time with her family. Especially, going to the movies as well as sitting out on the beach on a hot sunny day. My mom isn't just another average person, she shares her many unique qualities that allow others to see who she really is on the inside. Walking in from school, I saw Christy running around and thinking...show more content... Her opinion towards others is that some are better than others. I think that she has the ability to inspire others since she is a teacher and in general. She makes others feel like they are welcome in this world and that they can accomplish anything they work hard on or put their mind to. Taking responsibility is something my mom really follows through on she makes a big to commitment to her job, who she married, and especially to her kids. She is determined to make what we want to become a reality. She thinks that nothing is impossible, you just have to work for your goals and never back down from what you are doing. Her sense of humor is something that I love she is hilarious and tells the best stories. I know that having boundaries is something us kids don't like but it's a good thing on the parent side. While my mom loves me, she will be upset with me if I make a serious mistake and there will be consequences. This shows that she has good parenting and is loyal to what she says and does. My mom is a wonderful listener, if I tell her that I have a big test coming up or that I got into trouble at school she will remind me each day to study for the test coming up. She will then sit down with me to discuss what had happened that day at school. It's like my mom has a daily agenda in her mind. • 3. Essay About My Mother 's Pregnancy They talked just long enough for my father to get what we wanted out of the deal. Shortly after, she discovered that she was pregnant with me. I think it 's so funny now because my father likes to say "I just blew on your mom, and she got pregnant. I don 't know how that happened." During my mother 's pregnancy, she discovered a lot of things about my father that would make the average woman infuriated. She found out that he already had a daughter (my oldest sister, Tia) with another woman from his hometown, Detroit, Michigan. And while he was "seeing" her (for a better choice of words) he was also "seeing" another woman who lived in the same area of the city that she lived. And if that wasn 't enough, she found out that woman was also pregnant by my father with my oldest brother, Angel, who is only five months older than me. To make it even worse, she did not obtain any of this information from my father. She learned this information on a trip to the mall, from a mutual friend that my mother and Angel 's mother did not know they shared. My mother was extremely heartbroken and depressed after finding out all of this. She actually believed that her and my father had a future together; which is a joke in itself knowing my father's past. She was in a deep depression for a long period of time. But she knew that she would have to get over it because she was about to have a daughter. She that she would have to raise me regardless if my father were going to be in the picture Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Narrative Essay : My Mom For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and self–reserved person. She does have manners and she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and independent. She wasn't born with these qualities, she went through a lot of different struggles, but that's how she ended up where she is today. My mom didn't have a very good high school experience. Her mom always moved, which caused her to move. Which caused her to have few friends. She never participated in sports or arts. She mostly focused on her home life and school. Her mom never really supported her. When asked about the future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and when will I get my homework done?" My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So, as you can imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt Terri and I would go to her parent's house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting." Essentially, Aunt Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on different things. Growing up, I know I haven't been the best son in the world but if you were to ask her, she would say otherwise. Looking back, my mom is the most positive and important influence on my life. Growing up in a poor family, my mother must work very hard to earn her living since an early age. Due to shortage of material condition, she herself has trained an extremely strong will and ability to sedately deal with each difficulty and stand up to move on from her failures. I vividly remember the calamity poured down on my family when my mother' business went bankrupt. We had to sell our house and leave for another town to begin from "zero". This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women, strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination. • 7. Descriptive Essay About My Mother When I was 14 years old, I realized that my mom and I are very similar. My mom and I have always been close. We laugh and joke with each other and can also have serious conversations with one another. The two of us both have dark coffee colored hair that's almost a hazelnut color in the sun. Our eyes are penny brown that can change to almost a caramel color. We look very similar and think very similar as well. We are literally almost the same person mentally. One afternoon, my mom and I were sitting next to one another when she began talking to me about how when she was in high school, about my age, she began to write poetry and keep a journal. She went on to tell me how her and her friends would take the journal whenever her or the other girls had inspiration for a poem. A little later she found the dusty, beat up, old spiral notebook and showed it to me. She began skimming through the wrinkled pages as they crunched between her fingertips. Her eyes lit up as she found one of her favorite poems. "I remember the day I wrote this, I remember every feeling I had when writing this down," She said with pure excitement. "Really? How can you remember something so minor as that after all these years?" "Hey! It wasn't THAT long ago! But I remember it because it was very special to me." "Makes sense I guess. Can I read it?" "I'll read it, Your face in the moonlight Our hearts once one But now we are nothing but broken glass Reflections of our past Footprints on my heart Lust in my soul For fear of what's to come But I know I am not the one..." "That's really cool!" "You like it? Well, why don't you keep it? Use it for some inspiration and maybe you could start writing your own as well." "Thank you! I'll take great care of it." "I know you will," My mom smiled as bright as the morning sun. Her face lit up with joy knowing that I may start to follow in her footsteps. To this day I still use that book to help me when writing song lyrics, it has really come in handy. • 8. Personal Narrative : My Mother And My Mom After my mother and I have an argument she usually smiles at me and says, it's because we're so much alike that we argue. She reminds me that our lack of communicating often stirs more trouble than why we were arguing. I used to get upset that my mom didn't set time aside for our family to spend time together or make us eat together at the dinner table. I was upset because I was comparing our family to my friends' families. I valued those things and assumed my mom didn't, but I was wrong. My mom had so much on her mind everyday it was breaking her on the inside. Not only had I wanted my mom to be like my friend's moms, now I had wanted my mom to be different because she was depressed. Bonhoeffer mentions that we desire images of others that we want, but aren't the true image they bear as Christ's (pg37–38). At first I was puzzled. How is a good image of mine, not Christ's image for her? I learned that His image is neither right nor wrong, but simply uniquely divine. My mom could have done those things, but her whole life would have had to be different, and I would never want to change who my mom is. The few times we did get to spend time together as a family, it wouldn't feel like it. I knew all the relationships between my family members. I was the one who they told everything to but ask me not to tell anyone. This was a lot of weight on my shoulders because I began caring for everyone else's relationships; especially my mom's because my brother and sister would argue Get more content on HelpWriting.net

A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. We went out to lunch with my brother since he was visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and my topics. In my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life, Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have a meaningful life. My mom believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or other people's opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the things you do in your everyday life. My Relationship With My Mother Essay My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25, 1995, and it continues to this day even though she lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To be more specific about my mother is that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband (my father), and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis. As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that have unique meanings to a particular relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal idioms. Every time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that she calls me. Even though we don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away from each other we both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired relationship. I do this by making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. • 20. Descriptive Essay About My Mother I was the one who discovered it. It was shocking and almost unbearable to see someone who I had known since kindergarten to be so full of light, draped across the bed without a speck of color. Despite her hardship in her latter years, Aimee was a character of joy, always seeing the best in everyone and everything. She had no outspoken enemies, although not everyone was as thoughtful to her as she was to them. Her only known adversaries were the boys who she always would turn down. She waited for one that would be on the same intellectual and emotional level as her, if that were even possible for a guy her age. She was reserved, yet outspoken when a voice was needed to be heard. She was caring and as graceful as can be. Always as light as a feather, even when walking down a busy hallway with her heavy books or through a crowded party, heavy–limbed from the alcohol. Her last few years of high school were rough, while the worse than usual rumors stacked up on the endless schoolwork which stacked up on her abusive father at home. Outwardly, she was still happy except on that night. It was the twelfth year of going to the cabin. We had transitioned from our first year there, filled with juvenile acts from sledding, hide and seek, and early bedtimes. Now during the break for our last year of high school, our parents stayed behind, and the only time we were out in the snow was to throw–up booze. Throughout the years, our friend group increased and so did the drama. People from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. My Reflection On My Mother Essay A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council, secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also. She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. My mom went to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, to get her education Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister, and I moved across the globe to find better opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in anything we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no brakes or vacation. She is the person who inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her own and for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she does not take time out for herself. During the death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to her by making her proud of me. With her as my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for the high school traveling band, which was a truly challenging band to get into. I was one of only six freshmen to get in. Joining that band allowed me to experience my first time traveling with the school across the country to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most prestigious halls to perform in the world. • 23. Personal Essay : Losing My Mother Losing My Mother I can still remember vividly the day my mother passed away. My mother passed away at a critical point in my life when I was seventeen years old from a short term illness. She was sick for a week and I remember thinking this could be serious, however, my mother declined to go to the hospital because of the distance and financial hardship. I had loss my father when I was three years old, so my mother was a single mother. I have step sisters and brother, but I was not particularly close to them. Losing my mother was a defining moment in my life for it changed my life irrevocably. I was devastated, but I had to become strong, proactive and it spurred me to choose a new career path. Losing my mother was very traumatising. She was the only parent I knew since the age of three and the one person I knew I could depend on one hundred percent. I was in school when one of my cousin came to inform me that I was to return home immediately. In my gut I knew something serious must have happened to my mother. I do not remember how I got home. When I saw several people crying at my home and nobody was really make eye contact with me, I just started to cry too and that is when someone told me how sorry they were for my loss. I was in shock for more than three days. I did not sleep nor eat and I did not shade single tears after the initial outburst. Basically I just wanted to crawl in a corner and never wake up from the nightmare. However, I had to become an adult and I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 24. My Mother In My Life My mother is a very complicated woman. I believe the best way to describe her would be, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I know, weird way to start off my literary story, right? As much as I do not like my mother, I love her, and respect her. While I am being honest, I owe my work ethic and a vast majority of my success to her, as much as I hate to admit it. The way she lived her life, most college graduates and the societal hoity toity types would raise their noses to. However, you can't deny her dedication to her children and their education, she is the start of my literacy journey. My mother wasn't always...how do it put this? Let's go with questionable, and she was stable and the picture–perfect mother when she was married to my father. My mother and father thought it would be beneficial for her to stay at home with my twin brother and I. Flash cards were always there, before Kindergarten my mom made sure my twin and I could count to 100, we knew our ABC's, we could write our names, our parents' names, knew our address and phone number. Every Thursday we went to the public library for story time and to pick out our books for the week. Before nap and before bed we would read one of Miguel's books and one of mine, some of the books we read so much that my brother and I memorized the stories. We would even pretend to read those favorite stories. As the years went on and we went to school my mother was super involved. She had all our grades emailed to her, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 26. What Does My Family Mean To You Essay This essay is about how my family has raised me since the day that I was born. Also, I will talk about my illness and the community around me how they have helped me throughout life. "My family" one of the best words that I love, because my family has raised me since I was born. Coming out to the world and starting to develop my body system as the years move on has been great. Especially, my mother she has been there for me and one of the things that makes me feel great is that she never goes by herself I always tend to be by her side. Even though I tend to talk to her bad, not pay any attention to her makes me feel bad because she is my mother the one that has taken care of me since the day that I came to the world. That is why my mother...show more content... Both of my parents knew what was going on during those years they felt very sad for me especially, because I would not understand the situation that I am in. However, as of now both my parents and me understand how everything will eventually change, but we are capable of having fun here in the world because god knows that we can achieve anything. The last main point is my community, because they were always there for me they never let me do things alone. I remember when I had my surgery I was in bed for a whole week it felt miserable. Not having people coming to see me felt bad, even though I helped them in some things they did not appreciate it. Until one day my neighbors and friends came to see me I felt great, because they made me do everything so I can get out of the hospital as soon as possible. When I got home and the days passed I started to recover from that surgery and got to the routine with the neighbors they helped me in tasks and I helped them back it was good. Thanks to them coming to visit me in the hospital, because if I was lonely chances are that I would even be in the hospital still or something else would of happened. That is why I am enjoyable on having those close neighbors and friends because they are capable of helping one another. I would want the rep to know how my illness made my family raise me differently, and how my community has also been part of helping me. It will be good for them to know all this because it shows Get more content on HelpWriting.net
