Background of Portugal <ul><li>Portugal is a European nation whose </li></ul><ul><li>origins go back to the Early Middle Ages . </li></ul><ul><li>Portugal is a developed country </li></ul><ul><li>It is the 7th most peaceful and the 13th most </li></ul><ul><li>globalized country in the world, </li></ul><ul><li>It has the world's 19th highest quality of life. </li></ul>
  3. 3. #1.Economic Unemployment amongst immigrants doubles <ul><li>The number of unemployed immigrants enrolled in jobs centres across Portugal has risen by almost 50 per cent in one year, and during the first two months of 2009 the rise was 27 per cent. </li></ul><ul><li>Instead of trying their best to </li></ul><ul><li>get a new job, most of them tempt </li></ul><ul><li>To go back to their home country. </li></ul>
