Based on our 200 Quick Serve Restaurants
(QSR) In Canada and USA
This report focus is on our KFC stores
Information Provided by FMI Energy Savings Coordinator
(May 2015)
2. Electrical Reductions
Daily Consumption Demand Charges
Edmunston– KFC 27% reduction 25% reduction
Dieppe-- KFC 32% reduction 27% reduction
Note: These numbers were prior to Refrigeration Updates
In each case we installed water saving devices such as low flow
aerators, Low flow pre-rinse sprayers, and toilet water reducers; we
changed to dimmable LED lighting and contactor boxes with a control
system to control the chicken fryers and to automatically dim
lighting. The results are immediate in reducing energy consumption
and our payback is just over 1 year.
