15grams of carbohydrates
Wait 15 minutes
Recheck BG
If below target, repeat process
If before a meal , these carbs DO NOT COUNT
towards the meal count!
5. What if they can’t eat?
Use the Gel / Honey
Yell for help Call 911 if advised to ahead of time
Lay person on their side
Squeeze the lower cheek full of gel or honey and massage into
their gums
Wait 15 mins and recheck then feed them!
