The FRM Part 1 training program covers fundamentals of risk management, risk taking – corporate governance perspective, delineating efficient portfolios, standard capital asset pricing model, risk management failures, GARP code of conduct, information risk and data quality management. The course plan also comprises of quantitative techniques such as linear regression with one regressor, regression with a single regressor hypothesis test and confidence intervals, Monte Carlo methods and estimation of volatilities and correlations. Other approaches covered in this training include mechanics of future markets, hedging strategies using futures, interest rates, swaps, foreign exchange risks, corporate bond as well as valuation and risk models.
