5. Simcoe County Sliders Sledge hockey team is
looking for an on ice volunteer to help with
practices which are held at the Stayner arena
on Saturdays from 2:30 – 3:30
The student must like working with kids, have an
ability to skate and have a hockey helmet.

13. This week- October 19-23rd, is National Waste
reduction week. As a leader in this area for
environmental education the SHSM program is
challenging the rest of the school, to reduce the
waste it is generating. Bring a litter-less lunch,
use a re-usable water bottle, car pool or use
active transportation. If we all do one small
thing, it makes a huge difference to the
environment of SCI.
