Intramodality
Intramodality implies using different transport modes during the same
trip. It entails transferring from one transport mode to another.
The city’s ambitious plan of setting up inter-modal transit hubs (IMTH).
The idea of IMTH is to integrate various transportation modes like rail,
road, mass rapid transit system, bus rapid transit system, inland
waterways, autorickshaws, taxis and private vehicles.
Revised Master Plan for Bengaluru(RMP)-2031 has proposed 36
intermodal interchange stations intersections of two or more public
transit corridors.

3. Physical Safety Environmental Safety
A survey done among 422 women about the safety on public
transport and at the stations, approximately all of them feel safe
while commuting on transit and while some of them feel unsafe at
stations.
Nearly 65,000 pedestrians were reported to be injured year 2019.
90% of accident occurs at the time crossing the road.
Bangalore Metropolitan are working on the environmental safety by
managing and controlling the waste and E-waste by co-ordinating
with various Government Agencies, INGOs and NGOs:-
• Environmental Synergies in Development(ENSYDE)
• Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB)
Bangalore ranked third after Mumbai and Delhi, and generated
nearly 92,000 tonnes of e-waste annually.
