1. Post 20- Enterprise skills
Using Initiative: When creating my Tiktok video, I had to use
this technique several times especially during
the production for the review video. When
planning for the video to be shot, I had to
make up my mind into what to include in the
video to make it engaging for the viewers and
my target audience to watch. This would make
a huge difference because this could
potentially increase the amount of time
viewers will watch my video and it became
popular and successful meaning it could be
#trending on the app. Another moment I used
my initiative is when I was downloading my
sound effects. I was about to download sound
effects on YouTube but they are not copyright
free meaning that if I used those sound effects
I would get into trouble and my account on
Tiktok would get banned. To stop this from
happening, I went on non-copyrighted sound
effect websites to include in the video and
downloaded what I wanted on there. On
Tiktok they have a copyright licence into which
you can use any sound/music off the app
without being copyrighted and can share on
any platform. The impact of this is so I would
not be blocked and banned from the app
because otherwise viewers won’t be able to
get hold of the video.
Working Independently: With using this entrepreneur technique skill, I
used this pretty often when planning my
Tiktok Video. A moment to where I used this
skill was when I figured out what I was going
to say/ include in my video. With this being
said it also linked to the fact that I managed to
find specific sound effects and images to
include into my video to make it more
engaging. Working independently presents
that I am capable of creating a Tiktok channel
of my own rather it being someone else and
making it unique as possible with my ideas
and thoughts that haven’t be used by anyone
else. In this process I used my own ideas and
no one else’s. With this being said it was
difficult at times to actually come up with an
idea and expand on it. It would have been
helpful if others where to contribute for ideas
but I managed to come up with the ideas by
myself. Furthermore, I was proud of myself for
working independently as I was able to
2. develop my production skills in making the
Tiktok video so it was up to high standards and
I created to the best of my ability.
Applying Self-Motivation To Perform Tasks: Within the pre-production process planning, I
used self-motivation to try and get all the
paperwork done to be best quality standard.
This is because we were under a tight deadline
to get it all finished so I used my spare time to
work on the paperwork and tweak any
mistakes or write more explanation so it’s to
its best. An example of this was many times I
got stuck on how to get sources for my video
or even get ideas for my video. I made sure
kept focused on the tasks and did some
research to help me. If I got too stressed, I
took a break, and by doing this I learnt more.
This helped to create the work I have
produced. This will help me in my future
because I have already experienced what it is
like creating my video and what to include and
what not to include.
Self-Evaluating Ability To Meet Demands: When completing and creating every bit of
planning and paperwork for my production, I
looked back and read through all my work to
see if there was anything I needed to add to it
to improve. I did this in lesson and in my spare
time to see if there was anything to add/ any
mistakes made. When creating my script, I
kept looking back at the brief – it needed to
link with my target audience + the whole idea
that I had come up with. I had to make sure
the script and the whole idea was specific to
the demographics of my target audience. I had
to also make sure it fits with their views and
interests so I get more views and
likes/comments on the video. The amount of
views I make is crucial as it needs to be
successful.
Working With Others, Delegating,
Compromising:
When I was filming my video, I worked with
my guest Ria and spoke about our views and
interest about the Disney film whilst eating
snacks. . I made sure that before filming I told
her what we are going to talk about so that
they can prepare ourselves so when we film
we know what to say. This made sure that the
video run smoothly without any mistakes and
saved so much time. I did compromise on the
day we had to film which had an impact on the
amount of time we had to film and plan.
Talking to others evaluating my idea
developed my video and work performance
3. because it given me the opportunity to see
what others want to be included in the video
rather creating something that was just based
off just my opinion.
Applying Communication, Interpersonal,
Written Communication Skills:
I mainly had to use my enterprise skills with
contacting my guest and contacting people to
use their images/videos on my Tiktok. This is
so I can avoid copyright which is crucial and
important because if I did not do this my
account would get banned and nobody would
be able to access the video. I also kept
contacting my guest about dates/times for
filming and seeing their availability.
Problem Solving: Of course, there will always be problems you
have to solve when creating a film. Problems I
had to face where my guest was unavailable to
film on certain days which meant I had to
work around that. This had an impact on the
time I had left to finish off my planning but I
managed to solve this problem as I made sure
that I completed the work that didn’t require
me to have any of the videos that needed to
be included into it. I also had to make sure all
the equipment was working so we did not
have any split ups/mistakes which made it
easier for me to edit and the video flows
smoothly.
Creative brief
I said in my creative brief that I would focus on a student-specific audience and a young
demographic between the ages of 16 and 20. I carefully considered the mise en scene during the
TikTok’s filming in order to fulfil this aspect of the brief. Both audio and video would be made
available for my TikTok. I also made sure to carefully select the site. I made sure I was following the
brief by picking a place with film equipment in the background which was my bedroom at home.
