An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ‘Club and Coach’ Sports Development
Officer to be based at Redditch Borough Council. You will be joining our team
to implement a programme of strategic work across the Redditch Borough and
Bromsgrove District.
We are looking for a proactive, highly motivated and organised individual with
the skills and experience to enhance the high quality of sports provision
across the two localities, building on existing partnerships whilst coordinating
and promoting new initiatives.
You will have relevant experience in the delivery of sports initiatives, be able
to demonstrate knowledge of local authority sport provision, club and coach
development, lead on coach forums, funding programmes, volunteering
initiatives, financial and project management. The ideal candidate will possess
a relevant qualification or equivalent demonstrable vocational experience in a
clearly related field / position.
The roles offer a diverse range of responsibilities and will require some
evening and weekend work.
