2. What is a digi-pak ?
Definition: a patented style of compact disc or DVD packaging, and is a
registered trademark of AGI Media.
In order to create our own digi-pak, we had to be able to point out the
conventions, I noticed that all digi-paks include:
A singular picture of either a logo, band member, of actor on the front cover.
The name of the artist and album name is clearly presented on the front cover
The song list is placed at the back of the digi-pack
The same theme is carried throughout the font and back and also on the inside
of the pack.
The CD is placed on the right side after the fold-in
A bar code is placed at the bottom on the back cover.
For our digi-pak to look as professional as possible we had to make sure we
followed these conventions and our found inspiration.
3. A Digi-pak
This is a digi-pak flat plan template, I
would have to create something
similar to make it easier to plan out
what would go where.
When this is folded in properly, the
images, song list and front cover will
be evident.
Our end product would look like this
(bottom right) and hopefully just as
professional. However, this depends on
our photographs, font and content.
4. Inspiration

remarkable-cd-covers/
This website had amazing album covers but they were all abstract and mostly
animated. We wanted to create a front cover that reveals a bit about the
narrative throughout the album and the artist as out music video is a
performative/narrative one.
I looked at more contemporary artists that have themselves on the front cover
reflecting a bit of their characters through; emotions, fashion or location.
Artists that do this:
Rihanna
Eminem
Trey Songz
Mike Posner
Pixie Lott
Kanye West
Lady Gaga
