This document provides instructions for tying a basic tie knot in 6 steps: 1) Position the tie with the wide end on the right and small end slightly above the belly button. 2) Bring the wide end under the small end to the left. 3) Bring the wide end across the small end to the right. 4) Bring the wide end up into a loop from underneath at the neck. 5) Bring the wide end down through the loop in the front. 6) Pull the wide end to tighten the knot and slide it up to adjust.

you, the wide end is on the

• The tip of the small end
should rest slightly above
your belly-button (this will
vary depending on your
height and the length &
thickness of your tie).
• Move only the active
(wide) end.
