Specific: I want to be able to run 5 miles comfortably.,[object Object],Measurable:EverydayI will set out to run my normal 3 mile route and if I feel more comfortable I can increase my distance with routes that I have found to be 1 mile or less so I don't over work myself if I can't run anymore.,[object Object], Attainable: I believe that I can do this because I am starting to be able to run my 3 mile route comfortably and can consistantly run it is a fairly quick pace. If I keep running at this rate I will be able to run 5 miles which will be a big achievement, but whether or not I will be able to run it comfortably is another thing. ,[object Object],SMART Goal,[object Object]
Realistic: This is realistic because I know and have realized that the more I run, the easier it gets and feel that I will be able to achieve my goal hopefully sometime soon.,[object Object],Time: I will be running at least 2 miles every day and if I can run more then I know of 1 mile routes around my house where I end my run. I know of a 1 mile loop, 2 mile loop, and 3 mile loop so I can control the distance I run every day.  ,[object Object],SMART Goal continued,[object Object]
I have been running for a few months now and I know my limits as far as how much I can run and when it’s time to quit.,[object Object], I also know where my routes are around where I live which make it easier to track how much I am running and in the end become a stronger runner. ,[object Object],Predisposing Factors,[object Object]
Positive-I have a running store downtown so I can get properly fitted for shoes and whatever else I may need to achieve my goal.,[object Object],Negative-I don’t have a gym membership so the weather always plays a role in whether or not running conditions are safe. ,[object Object],Enabling Factors,[object Object]
My sister is also an active runner so she can help me with finding different routes to challenge my capabilities. ,[object Object],My dad supports me running and maintaining a healthy lifestyle at home and when I’m at school. ,[object Object],Reinforcing Factors,[object Object]
Weather is the only thing that can stop me from achieving my goal as fast as I want to. ,[object Object],The amount of homework I get from my classes is the only other factor which could slow down my process of achievement. ,[object Object],Barriers?,[object Object]
I have a running specialty store in town where they can help me get fitted for the proper running shoe and whatever else I may need to achieve my goal.,[object Object],A friend of mine runs often and knows of routes around my area that I may not already know of so that could be helpful. ,[object Object],Resources,[object Object]

Yes, I was successful at reaching my goal because I kept running consistently and kept adding on distance consistently. ,[object Object],I will continue to run my new 5 mile route and maybe start to increase distance even farther but not untill I can run this route with ease. ,[object Object],Did I reach my goal?	,[object Object]
