State-of-the-Art Tracking System
Our bar-coded system does more than just find boxes in a warehouse. We provide a variety of useful reports to help you manage a large volume of information. You can request boxes by our bar-code number, or even your current box number. If you are not sure which carton you need, we can fax you a list of records that match any given criteria.
Media Vault
Backup computer tape, x-rays and other environmentally sensitive materials are stored in this secure area. Temperature and humidity are controlled and recorded 24 hours a day. Backup tapes can be rotated daily, weekly or monthly.
Destruction Service
Locking security carts are available to collect confidential trash at your locations. Shredding is done on-site.
Flexibility
Any standard sized record container is stored at the same rate per cubic foot, and charges are calculated by the box, not by the shelf. You can also use your own containers.
Safe and Secure
Records are protected by multi-level fire sprinkler system.
The entire TMC/Texas Archives complex is gated and protected by a first-rate security system.
Pick Up and Delivery Service
Your records are always just a phone call away. Service is available the next day, the same day, or within two hours.
On-Site Work Area
If you prefer, you are welcome to review records in the comfort of our customer service work area. The use of this area is free of charge to our records center customers.
Reports
Information in your storage account can be presented to you in several convenient formats. These reports tell you which cartons are scheduled for destruction, or which cartons have been checked out and not returned. You can allocate costs between departments, or group related information from different time periods. We also customize reports to meet your individual requirements.
Records Management Services
Texas Archives offers consulting services pertaining to organizing your on-site records storage area or preparing your records for entry into Texas Archives Storage Center. Includes such activities as:
Developing records retention schedules
Identifying records due for destruction
Re-boxing existing records, if needed
Taking inventory of carton contents
Preparing transmittal forms
