The "Overshoot" slide show relates unchecked climate change to worsening economic inequality. As wealth becomes concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, the beneficiaries increasingly behave as though biological limits, future generations, and even their own descendants are inconsequential. If history is any guide, this situation cannot and will not persist indefinitely. Humanity can hope to survive in the long term only by collectively and rationally planning for its future, and such plans must preserve the health of the biosphere which sustains all terrestrial life, at least until an alternative survival strategy becomes practical. This slide show is affiliated with the "Overshoot" video on YouTube and with the album "Apologize to the Future" on Bandcamp, both by Chris Korda. It's also available on Google Slides and archive.org (Internet Archive) where it looks a lot better.
