Abstract: This session opens the curtain on what it takes to strive for technical leadership excellence and become Fellow. During the session moderated by Melonie Parker, potential technical leaders will hear the specific steps required to become a Fellow and the actions required to maintain the position. The scientific method involves 7 steps to investigate a natural occurrence: 1) asking a question, 2) researching background information, 3) developing a hypothesis, 4) conducting an experiment with controls and variables, 5) analyzing the results, 6) determining if the hypothesis is supported or needs revision, and 7) communicating the findings. Each step is an essential part of solving problems through systematic experimentation and objective analysis.

Christopher J. Milanowski is a senior chemical engineering student at Louisiana Tech University seeking a full-time position in the chemical engineering field. He has experience as an engineering intern at Sasol North America where he communicated with vendors and utilized engineering software. Currently, he is general manager of KLPI radio station where he supervises staff and manages the budget. His other experience includes working as a laborer at Turner Industries where he assisted with industrial equipment operations and ensured job site safety.
