Pada Penulisan harus mengikuti kaidah-kaidah pemisahan suku kata yang diatur dalam Ejaan yang Disempurnakan seperti berikut ini:
1) Apabila di tengah kata terdapat dua vokal berurutan, pemisahan dilakukan di antara vokal tersebut. Contoh:
Main = ma-in,
Taat= ta-at
2) Apabila di tengan kata terdapat dua konsonan berurutan, pemisahan dilakukan di antara kedua konsonan tersebut. Contoh :
ambil = am-bil
undang= un-dang
3) Apabila di tengan kata terdapat konsonan di antara dua vokal pemisahannya dilakukan sebelum konsonan. Contoh:
bapak = ba-pak
sulit = su-lit
4) Apabila di tengah kata terdapat tiga atau empat konsonan, pemisahannya dilakukan di antara konsonan pertama dan konsonan kedua. Contoh:
Bangkrut= bang-krut
Instumen= in-stru-men
5) Imbuhan termasuk awalan yang mengalami perubahan bentuk partikel yang biasanya ditulis serangkai dengan kata dasarnya, penyukuannya dipisahkan sebagai satu kesatuan. Contoh:
Minuman= mi-num-an
Bantulah= ban-tu-lah
6) Kalau itu tidak dalam bentuk kombinasi, maka pisah dulu unsur kombinasinya dengan kata dasar, kemudian pemisahaan suku kata yang di lakukan menurut kaidah 1 s.d. 4. Contoh :
Kilogram= ki-lo-gram
7) Pada akhir dan awal baris tidak di perkenankan ada huruf yang berdiri sendiri, baik vokal maupun konsonan. Contoh :
