About the Institute
Govt. Women Engineering College Ajmer holds
the privilege of being first government women
engineering college in north India. Honorable
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje laid the
foundation stone of this college on 30th April
2007.This college offers B.Tech., M.Tech, MCA
and MBA courses to 2500 students. The college is
located on NH79 and is easily accessible through
rail and road. The nearest airport is situated in
Jaipur.
About STTP
A wireless sensor network consists of several
small battery-powered sensors that can
communicate with each other to monitor various
fields. Sensing or monitoring is acknowledged as
an important metric to measure the quality of
service of the wireless sensor network. The
applications for such wireless sensor networks
exist in a variety of fields including environmental
monitoring, surveillance, home security, traffic
monitoring, military operations, industrial
machine monitoring etc. Each of these domains
has great research potential. This STTP aims to
provide a platform to Faculty of Engineering
colleges, Scientists, Engineers and research
scholars to get knowledge about the Wireless
Sensor Network. This course would cover topics
relevant to the knowledge and recent trends and
research in this emerging field of study. The
course includes both theoretical lectures and
hands on practice sessions on various simulation
software related to wireless sensor network.
Department of Computer & EC Engineering
The Department of Computer & EC Engineering
were established in the year 2007. Both
Departments offers Under Graduate courses B.
Tech. & Post Graduate course M. Tech. Both
Departments with its cohesive team of faculty
members offers sound programs at the UG and
PG level. The foremost objective of both the
department is to hone technical skills demanded
by todays engineering professionals by providing
a sound technical platform and the required
knowledge base.
