The required temperature to effectively clean dishes is between 140–145 according to
washingtonpost.com and would be too hot for just plain hand washing. C. Buying gloves to
protect your hands can be costly and can prevent a proper grip on the dishes, causing more time to
be spent on them. Satisfaction Washing the dishes without the help of the DW9000 can be very
strenuous, time consuming, and even unhealthy. An instant solution is as simple as the small
investment into the purchase of the DW9000. Visualization Using the DW9000 will pay for itself
both in time and water saved. No more time spent scrubbing dishes, just insert your cup or dish
into the DW9000 and let it work its magic as the fully clean dish pops out just seconds later. A
specialized team of prototype designers have spent hours to show a sneak peak of the DW9000. See
the end to your overpriced and non–eco friendly water bill with the DW9000 water saving
technology. Stop worrying about becoming sick from germs left on your washed dishes. End your
endless nightmares of scrubbing dishes for hours trying to get a single spot out. Conclusion
ACTIONTake a trip to your local appliance retailer and make the right choice, purchase a

a. College is an integral time period for many people – college is a time for freedom, receiving an
education, and learning what it means to survive on little to no food for long periods of time. Or at
least that's what it's been like for me. Food is arguably one of the most important things to a college
student, especially off–campus food. Many of you are probably thinking of that one food that you
could eat over and over again and never get tired of it. Of course food is important, though, or else
why would we be told to eat three square meals...show more content...
While many relate fasting to starving, this could not be further from the truth.
II.Body
a.The effects of fasting pertaining to physical health
i.In modern societies across the globe, humans typically eat meals three times daily, while
continuously snacking throughout the day. Overeating, especially with said eating patterns, has
lead to many metabolic morbidities and diseases such as obesity and heart disease when combined
with a sedentary lifestyle. Hundreds of years ago, humans and animals alike had adapted to an
environment in which food was scarce. This allowed for them to function cognitively and
physically at a very high level in a food deprived (or fasted) state.
ii.In their article Health effects of intermittent fasting: hormesis or harm?, Horne, Muhlestein, and
Anderson conclude that after many randomized, controlled clinical trials, some physical benefits
from fasting are as follows: "The body uses fats for energy during fasting, reducing fat storage and
resulting in a small, long–term reduction in risk after each fasting episode. Nutritional stress during
fasting, at least in part, results in cellular–level repairs, functional optimization, and metabolic
rejuvenation that may improve long–term health by reducing cardiovascular risk factors and acting
on the metabolism of glucose via genes." One of the main reasons for these benefits is that during
fasting, the

Purpose Statement: To inform my audience about the nature of compassion, positive effects of being
compassionate, and compassion meditation. Thesis Statement: Compassion is human capacity that
has evolved with our species, which has wonderful psychological and physiological effects on both a
receiver and a giver. Introduction: Attention Getter: In his book The Art of Happiness, The Dalai
Lama states, "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot
survive" Reveal the topic: Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical,
spiritual, and emotional pains of another. Relate the topic to your Audience: We need compassion
because life is hard. Experiencing compassion from other people calms us. When we are upset we

For millennia, the deliberate development of compassion for all living beings, including oneself,
has been one of the great healing traditions of Eastern wisdom. The Dalai Lama, for example,
points out that compassion can quite literally transform our minds, and recent neuroimaging and
behavioral research has supported this observation. A study by Dr. Fredrickson and her colleagues
at the University of North Carolina found that participants who had been assigned to meditate
compassionately showed increased levels of daily happiness. They also experienced less depression,
had higher satisfaction with life and were in better physical shape. The power of compassion also
reaches into the body's immune and stress response system. Dr. Pace and his colleagues at Emory
University found that participants who practised compassionate meditation had stronger immune
responses to a stressor, as measured physiologically by interleukin and cortisol

Encouraging people to become an organ donor
TOPIC: Organ donation
SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To inspire my audience to become an organ donor and to register in their
state as a donor.
THESIS STATEMENT: Becoming an organ donor can save multiple lives.
INTRODUCTION
ATTENTION Imagine you are laying in a hospital bed connected to multiple machines, IV's and
monitors. The only thing keeping you alive is the heart and lung machine, the team of doctors,
nurses and specialist. Even with the help of modern medicine you will only remain alive as long as
you stay in that hospital bed; attached to those lifesaving machines. Even with the help of those
machines your life is not guaranteed. Now imagine knowing that the only thing that can save your
life is a heart transplant, and having to wait your turn on a very long list to get one.
TOPIC...show more content...
ETHOS STATEMENTFor over 13 year I have worked in healthcare and I have seen multiple
patients die from organ failure as they waited on the transplant list. I've seen patients lose their
quality of life as they sit in hospitals for weeks and months at a time as they waited for a kidney
transplant. I also know people who have donated the organs of their loved ones and were blessed to
know that their loss was the beginning of another person's life.
THESIS Helping save lives by becoming a registered organ donor.
PREVIEW I'd like to talk with you today about how easy it is to become an organ donor and the
multiple lives that are benefitted from just one person being an organ and tissue donor.
TRANSITION: So how can one person donating their organs and tissue help so many?
I.One person can give life to as many as eight people through organ donation, and enhance the lives
of up to fifty people through cornea and tissue donation.

Persuasive Research Paper Outline
Week One Overview Everything you write has a purpose. Informal emails, texts, memos, essays,
and research papers are just a few examples. Your objective might be to persuade an audience to
accept new points of view or agree with your ideas. You might want to influence people to support
your stand on an issue. Writing a formal persuasive research paper is one way to induce others to
agree with your argument. In this course, you will have the opportunity to compose an argument
that will convince others to agree with your facts, share your values, accept your argument, and
elect your way of thinking about a topic. The first step is to define your topic, thesis/claim, and
purpose. Planning Your Persuasive Research Paper Next, you will create an Organizational Plan
and research your topic. The end result will be a formal persuasive research paper. The outcomes
and objectives for this course are that upon completion of the course you will be able to produce a
formal persuasive research paper. The activities you complete will help you through the writing
process. You will develop new perspectives on your topic. There are Weekly Objectives you will
complete which are supported by activities and related multimedia. Interacting with the e–learning
environment and using multimedia will enhance your knowledge of the objectives. As a result, you
will be...show more content...
In addition, the writing experience at the end of the course will help you with persuasive speaking in
front of an audience. To get you started, the activities and assignments will ease you into thinking
about the argument, and help you consider what direction your paper might take. This knowledge
will give you reasons to persuade your audience and to support your argument. In summation, you
will know how to define your topic, thesis/claim, and purpose of your

Well, the persuasive speech did not go the best for me. I was extremely nervous and I could not
snap out of it; which I'm sure was obvious in the video. On the bright side, though, my catch phrase
made it easier to grab the attention of my audience! It also helped that my persuasive speech outline
had good flow. My persuasive speech contained a lot of resourceful information that I hope made
people actually think about becoming an organ donor. I made sure to include multiple statistics so
that my audience would know how many people are actually awaiting organ and tissue donation.
Providing this information in my speech was resourceful to my audience as well as myself because
organ and tissue donation is not generally a topic that people think a lot about and therefore they
might not know the real importance of organ and tissue donation....show more content...
I have no idea why this speech made me so nervous. Due to the fact that I was extremely nervous,
my mind kept freezing up on me, so, therefore, I was referring to my note cards more than I
needed to be; which made the speech not flow as smoothly as I would have liked it to.
Furthermore, because I was referring to my note cards more, my eye contact was lacking. My eye
contact was the one thing in my speech that needed the most improvement. Also, my nonverbal
communication was good in the fact that I did not move my hands around a lot, but did have
quite a few nervous twitches. The nonverbal that were displayed in this persuasive speech were
better than the other two speeches, but I still need to work on a couple of things, such as, having a
glass of water next to me so that I do not have to swallow so

Please label these parts as you create your outline: I.Introduction a. College is an integral time period for many people – college is a time for freedom, receiving an education, and learning what it means to survive on little to no food for long periods of time. Or at least that's what it's been like for me. Food is arguably one of the most important things to a college student, especially off–campus food. Many of you are probably thinking of that one food that you could eat over and over again and never get tired of it. Of course food is important, though, or else why would we be told to eat three square meals...show more content... While many relate fasting to starving, this could not be further from the truth. II.Body a.The effects of fasting pertaining to physical health i.In modern societies across the globe, humans typically eat meals three times daily, while continuously snacking throughout the day. Overeating, especially with said eating patterns, has lead to many metabolic morbidities and diseases such as obesity and heart disease when combined with a sedentary lifestyle. Hundreds of years ago, humans and animals alike had adapted to an environment in which food was scarce. This allowed for them to function cognitively and physically at a very high level in a food deprived (or fasted) state. ii.In their article Health effects of intermittent fasting: hormesis or harm?, Horne, Muhlestein, and Anderson conclude that after many randomized, controlled clinical trials, some physical benefits from fasting are as follows: "The body uses fats for energy during fasting, reducing fat storage and resulting in a small, long–term reduction in risk after each fasting episode. Nutritional stress during fasting, at least in part, results in cellular–level repairs, functional optimization, and metabolic rejuvenation that may improve long–term health by reducing cardiovascular risk factors and acting on the metabolism of glucose via genes." One of the main reasons for these benefits is that during fasting, the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Furthermore, because I was referring to my note cards more, my eye contact was lacking. My eye contact was the one thing in my speech that needed the most improvement. Also, my nonverbal communication was good in the fact that I did not move my hands around a lot, but did have quite a few nervous twitches. The nonverbal that were displayed in this persuasive speech were better than the other two speeches, but I still need to work on a couple of things, such as, having a glass of water next to me so that I do not have to swallow so Get more content on HelpWriting.net
