My First Day In High School Essay
At the age 14, I am starting my first day of public school and have to start all over, not just in a
new school but a new state. After arriving on the school grounds where I was given the intro to
high school, I received my school ID and began to decipher the confusing bugaboo known as a
class schedule. Little did I know, that was just the beginning of my obstacles. I moved down from
Washington state to Arizona because I wanted a fresh start; I believed it was finally time for me to
make the metamorphic change from my isolated home school education to the rigorous social
headache known as the public high school. My school was a short ten–minute car ride, and I arrived a
little early on the first day of my honors English class in order to be fully prepared when the lesson
started. I had my pencil, paper, sticky notes, pens, colored pencils, a pleasure book (a book in case I
got bored), and my homework assignment from over the summer. Most of the students, I noticed,
knew each other from their past schooling which was intimidating to say the least. As an added
discomfort, they were all dressed with what was in style, and I felt like an old grandmother with my
flower print skirt, pumps, flowy pink blouse, and straight hair with bangs.
The first day of class was nerve–racking because I knew I would be required to actually converse
with my peers– I was not what you would call a "social butterfly." Suddenly, the teacher strutted up
front, dressed professionally with an aura of

My First Day Of School Essay
The first day of school is nerve–wracking for most people, for me, the first day was especially
terrifying. The first day of a college class is probably more crazy than all others. My mom and
younger sister, Michaela, were busy taking pictures as I attempted to run out of the door. After
being homeschooled for the last six years, I knew it would be a much different experience. I had
been in my room alone doing school; I was content with where I was. The morning of the first day
of class, I was so busy that I didn't have time to be nervous. However, as I ran out the door, my heart
rate elevated to a pace of 138 bpm. I felt older, nervous, excited, and anxious as I left for Pellissippi.
Although it had been six years since I had been in a classroom, I realized that all of my worry was for
nothing once I walked into Ms. Brown's class.
The summer after I completed the 6th grade, my parents decided to pull me out of my Baptist,
private school and homeschool me. I, like most kids, was not thrilled with the decision, but being
only 11 years old, I had no say in the matter. Despite my initial reservations, being homeschooled
was a great experience for me, but I began to get bored. I missed seeing people every day. It was just
me and my family. I was ready for a new experience, something big, and college was exactly what I
was looking for. It was Sunday night, and there was a high probability that class would be cancelled.
I prayed that that wouldn't happen, however, it did. The

My First Day At School Essay
On the morning of September 1st, 2016, I woke up to my alarm excited and ready for my first day
of school. I quickly got dressed and ran down the stairs to get some breakfast. I ate my breakfasts
meal, and since there was time to kill before we were allowed to enter school, I pet my dogs and just
layed down in my warm, soft blankets. I wish I could bring my dogs and my blankets to school with
me, I thought to myself, but I know school is a time for learning, not for sleeping and relaxing.
Once it was around 7:25 AM, my dad drove me to school. I met my friends in front of the school
by the big tree in the front of the campus, and we talked about how weird it was going to be going
to a whole new school with people we knew and people we didn't know. We also were talking about
which teachers we thought we were going to get. We had many other discussions for the rest of the
time we had to hang out together. but I can't remember what they were about.
Quite a few minutes later, the bell that signaled that we could enter school rang, and we all
scrambled inside to get in line to get our schedules. I got in line, and waited until I got to the front.
Once I did, I said my first and last name to the person and they gave me my schedule. I looked it
over, and ran to find my friends so I could see if I had any classes with them. I had some of my
them in my classes, but not many. For the remainder of the morning we had to hang out, I wandered
around the school, checking things

My Experience : My First Day Of School
The lazy days of the Summer were ending and day by day I was inching closer to my first day of
school. The first day of school finally arrived, and I couldn't wait to make new friends. There I was
attending school and beginning a new chapter in my life. I sat there in the hard seat of my desk
with my eyes full of amazement as I analyzed the classroom setting. After all the children were
seated, the teacher, Miss Annette, handed out a blank piece of paper and announced the directions
for the assignment. I looked around and all my classmates seemed to be doing what the teacher
asked except me. In those moments my total interpretation of school changed because I realized that
everyone knew English except me. Although I was born in the United...show more content...
Then, one day I got the message that the teacher had scheduled a meeting with my parents. I was
apprehensive about what Miss Annentte was going to say about me. Later, I found out that I was
going to be put in an ELL (English Language Learner) program so I could improve my English
skills. During class time, the program instructor would come pick me up and a few other students
once a week to enhance our English skills. She would have cards with pictures on them, and we
would take turns saying words. The instructor would give out candy if a student got it correct. We
would go to this class once a week with the lady, and we would begin with straightforward words.
A popular game that we would play is scramble because it improved our English skills, and it was
a great way to interact with my fellow classmates. This became my favorite class because not at
any time did I feel that there was a burden on me to learn all the words. The class provided me
with a break from the outside world, and It made me feel relieved that I wasn't in this alone. ELL
would always teach me something new, and I would always come away with additional vocabulary
under my belt. This program really helped me boost my confidence and aided me into staying
focused in my education. Once a month the ELL instructor would send out a progress report that
would display my achievements so far. This gave me the opportunity to show my parents what I
have accomplished so far, and it was a great incentive for me to

A bright but cold morning, January 2014, I woke up early, jumped out of bed and smiled because it
was my first day of school. First I went to take a shower; I thought, "What would I do in school
today, who will be my teachers"? I walked to the bus stop, people looked at me like I'm alien with
five heads and with a large nose. I sat down on a tree trunk waiting for the bus and the bus arrived
after 15 minutes, I aboard the bus. The driver was a woman she was wearing a black shirt and
brown pants. She told me " Do you have the paper that shows that you have permission to go to

was going to learn. The late bell was rang, I walked in the classroom and the teacher greeted me
with a warm, friendly smile. I sat down in the second row, the class started and the teacher starts
teaching about the Civil War, I stared at her and spoke out loud to myself saying "what she is
saying"? There were some kids laughing at me, and they're saying "she's very stupid." Time pass
and the bell rang for the second period class. I walked to the ESOL class, the teacher smiled at me
and said in Spanish "Good morning, please sit down in the first row". The teacher explained to
me what assignments they were doing, she treated me like one of her daughter and I felt good in
her class. The bell rang and I went to my science class and the teacher told me to sit with a group
of students that speak Spanish,so they can help me. When the teacher left, they started to make
fun me and saying " you are very stupid", I only stare at them. Then they stole my pencil, ripped
the sheet out of my notebook, and they wrote in my notebook this "Go where you came from, we
do not want you here! So I cried. Next I went to my math class to leave my backpack and go to eat

to go get my food, there was cinnamon bread and banana bread, so I chose cinnamon bread. I took
a seat in the second table this was the first time eating a cinnamon bread. Then the bell rang, I go to
a hallway, but my social studies class is not there. "Are you a new student in the school?" asked me
a eighth–grade student in spanish, I responded "Yes I am a new student, I'm trying to find my social

My first day of school was a mess. I woke up, got dressed, brushed my hair, ate breakfast and then
brushed my teeth. I packed my bag and got ready to wait for the bus. I was so scared. I had so
many thoughts running through my mind all at once. As I walked outside I saw the bus pulling
on the end of street, my heart was racing. As the bus approached I stepped on and picked the
closest empty seat available. The bus was quite yet at the same time I heard people talking. A few
minutes later I just decided to look out the window instead of awkwardly staring down. We stopped
at this older house but then there was a house a little farther back kind of behind trees and another
house, two kids came walking out from the front house and got on the...show more content...

remember I sat there and ate, then after lunch we went back to the classroom in our lines. I was
quite for the rest of the day. We packed our bags and I saw other kids just packing their homework
but I packed everything as if I was starting the day all over again. After I packed my bag. The bell
rang and the teacher walked us down the hallway. We got to the doors and I tried to look for my
bus number, I couldn't find my bus. After a little bit of walking I found bus number "16." I
walked on and sat in the closest seat possible but then the bus driver looks up and says "Can you
move one seat back" so I did. Then that the girl that sat behind that morning sat next to me and
said "Hi I'm Cydnee, what's your name" I was shocked she started to talk to me right away I said
"Hi my name is Hannah." We became best friends after that. The whole bus ride home we laughed
about how our laughs sounded different and then before we knew it, it was her turn to get off.
Before she got off she turned and looked and said "You snort sometimes" and I started to laugh as
she walked off. We got to my house, I walk off the bus and then run up to my house it feels good to

Emily's First Day of School
7:00 a.m. I wake up to the sound of my phone screaming in my ear. My mom is also yelling
"Emily, turn that alarm off! Some of us are trying to sleep!" Today is the first day of school so my
friends are all texting me. As I walk to the bathroom, I grab a skirt and a top that I hung up last
night. My friends and I decided that we should all wear skirts on the first day of school. As I finish
getting ready I grab my phone to look at the time. The time is 8:15, so I run downstairs and find
that my family has already cleaned up breakfast, but as usual my mom has left me a waffle to
grab as I run out the door. I arrive to school just in time to find my friends are beginning to walk
inside. But just as I spot them I realize that I am not wearing the right outfit. While I was getting
ready they decided to wear dresses. I search my purse for my phone and it is nowhere to be found.
This is beginning to be a bad day. My friends all walk over to my car, but I don't want to face them.
This same thing happened to another girl that is in the group last year. We had decided to wear
jeans, but then switched to jean shorts because it was really hot out. We all didn't talk to her until
her mom brought her jean shorts. I decide its best if I just drive home and grab a dress and my
phone and be a little late to school. So as I pull out I yell to thaem that I'll be back soon. As I drive
home I'm thinking about which dress to wear. As I pull into my driveway I've

On the first day of school I woke up at 6:30 a.m. to my alarm clock. I woke up and got dressed, in
which I wore dark blue jeans, and a buttoned up shirt which I wore tucked in. I brushed my hair
thoroughly and left it down. Then, My Dad drove me to school, and walked me up to the door.
We said goodbye, I gave him a kiss, and then I walked not my new adventure. When I walked into
the school, I headed to the old gym, in which I went looking for my friend. When I found my
friend, Izzy, we hugged each other and jumped up and down out of pure excitement. After we
talked for a few moments the bell rang and we headed for the exit. As we passed through the

Before the bell rang she past out a sheet of paper on reducing fractions, which was our homework
due the next day. Then I went to lunch with my friend, Izzy, which we were both ready for and
we were the only ones with B lunch. We got into the hot lunch line. I got pears, chocolate milk,
and pepperoni pizza. After we were both done with our lunches we headed outside and we looked
if there was anyone that we knew. There was there was a boy that we were acquaintances with.
We played with him for the recess. I then lined up and went right to the band room and I chose my
own seat. Next, Mr. Duso went over the rules and new grading system. It's now 7th hour, one
more class, which is ela with Mr. Grant. I entered the classroom and I chose a seat at a table with
some friends. When Mr. Grant came in, he went to each table and asked us our last names. After he
finished with our names we started a get–to–know–you paper. After he gave us time to work on it on
our own time, he went and found someone who matched ours. Then, the a noise rang. It was the
bell. We all made our way out of the classroom. Next, I gathered my backpack, chromebook, and
my instrument, and made my way to my friend, Izzy's, locker who was also downstairs. Izzy and
I walked across the grass to where the buses were parked. We walked halfway across the grass, when
Izzy left to go to her car, and I continued to the buses. I walked onto the bus in found a seat near

My First Day At School
My time at Life School was very eventful, and I will remember them for the rest of my life. My
first day at life school was very eventful though i made a name for myself. I started at Life School
Lancaster in the third grade, and i came about a month after school started because i transferred from
a different school. I got into trouble and they gave me a tally which is just something to show you
did something they didn't like. At first i thought i was getting kicked out, but through time i
learned it wasn't. In elementary school I wasn't the best kid and i had a couple of friends at the
time, some of which i still am friends with now. At the end of my elementary school I became a bit
of antisocial due to bullying.

I didn't know what he meant until later though. He later told me to start going to training camps
and combines, and for some reason i went, and he would always boast about me to his friends. He
was like second dad, and i could tell he cared about me, so i started doing good and he is what made
me into what I am today.
Sophomore year came faster than expected, i had done summer football camp and i was feeling
better than ever. I started on varsity my first year coming in. I was taught to never give up, even
though he would still yell up a storm at me. I made a lot of friends my sophomore year, and started
to become friends with people who didn't have any because I knew how it felt to not have any. I had
some sort of depression that year, and i prayed for it to go away, but instead i grew to force it to go
away. This same year me and my friends formed a group called the squad, and my circle grew even
more. I started to attend parties and gained popularity with everyone, but i was just glad to have
friends.
My junior and senior year were hard years because my classes were hard, but i got through it. I
became one of the team captains in football we did pretty good these years and i eventually won
lineman of the year for the school. My relationships with my friends became good I can honestly
call them the brothers and sisters. I was stressed out these years because i was trying really hard to
get into college, and at one of the last

in the English class and practice what the teacher says and read books. I thought too "If they push
me one more time I will tell to the teacher because I am a human, not an animal." The bell rang,
and we went back to the classroom. Well, math was a little easy for me because all was about
numbers. After two months I start to understand English, now life was easy for me.
In conclusion, after nine months I learned to speak and write English. I start helping some students

My First Day In School Essay
First week of School Ever since I came back to America, (I went to China when I was 2 years old
and came back at the age of 4) I was introduced to a place where I have never been before, Naples,
New York, the home of the world's greatest grape pie. My parents saw it as a opportunity to open
up a restaurant and use it to support our family. My first experience in Naples was helping hold
garbage bags while my father and mother were cleaning out the old post office, so we could
renovate it. I was probably one of the most bored kids in town because of the fact that for many
days that's all I did. As months went by the restaurant first opened and I was told to stay upstairs
all day, which also got very boring watching American tv shows in which I couldn't even understand
any of it. As time flew by, I was soon expected to go toschool (so my parents don't have to watch out
for me every day). Before I was driven to school, I had no idea where I was going so I didn't think
much of it. But right as I arrived, I had an idea of what I was about to do, go to school. For the first
time in my life I was going into a school where I don't speak the language, nor do I know anyone. I
had no idea what was going on as my father brought me to a building where I was led to a
classroom where there were other children my age that all looked at me. I had no idea on why I
had to come here and I desperately wanted to go back home, but unfortunately he had to work and
left. I was left there at a

New life in a new country For many people, coming to school the first day always has been an
exciting experience and like a little adventure. That very first day of school will become a
significant day in everyone life, a day to celebrate. I had my first day of school too; I couldn't
remember all the details; but somehow, I can still feel the excitement and curiosity that I had at
the time. It would be impossible for anyone to travel back in time to look back on their first day
of school. But, I was lucky that I was able to have another opportunity to feel the same excitement
and curiosity again. It was recently when my family moved to America. Growing up in a small
town, everyone knows each other, so it was harder for me to say goodbye to everyone, especially
my close friends. I was depressed on departing day because I knew I would miss my friends,
family, foods, festivals, air, beach, and the sky full of stars. I knew it wouldn't be the same in
America, but I had no choice at the time. "Is that tree dead?" my mother asked me after we leave
the Dulles International Airport in D.C and on our way to our new home in America. I look
around from the small taxi's window, and I was quite surprised to see something so marvelous.
This was the first time in my life I saw a tree quite big without a single leaf. I thought it was dead
too, so I asked the taxi driver, and he responded me with a laugh. Later, when we arrived at our new
home, I found out that the tree is just sleeping

Essay about First Day of Secondary School
First Day of Secondary School – Original Writing I was so excited yet so terrified at the thought of
my first day in secondary school. It felt much to me like my first day as an adult, the first day I
ever felt grown up. As I packed my spanking new bag full of spanking new pens and pencils, I
couldn't help but think would all the rumours about head flushing, bullying and heaps upon heaps
of homework be true? I guess I was about to find out. Sporting my smart new navy blazer, white

Everyone instantaneously sat down like a dog obeying its owner, as Mr King gave us the
instructions for the day. After about fifteen minutes of worthless gibberish, we went on to our first
lessons. The corridors were like a swarming maze. Everyone was crammed in, grabbing on to
people's bags so they wouldn't be pushed over. Finally after taking a few wrong turnings we found
the right class and sat in our friendship groups. This lesson was maths, and we watched one of those
mind–numbing educational videos. Our teacher, Mrs Branfield had a strong Somerset accent, and
was a nice teacher. She wasn't too strict but she had the class under control. I was good at maths
back then, so it soon became one of my favourite subjects. I was entered into the Maths Challenge
that year, and came out with a Bronze certificate, which was good for my year. Our first lesson sped

was in my D.T class. I asked the teacher where my next classroom was, and finally found it after
following some kids I recognised from my last lesson. When I found the class I went and sat with
a girl I didn't know. We were told the projects we'd be making that year which was a drawing

I was in the bathroom getting ready for the first day of the third trimester of 8th grade, I was
comfortably singing in my bathroom thinking I was alone. After getting ready I opened up the
door and look in the hallway flustered to see my mom filming me singing. I was embarrassed and
my cheeks turned bright red as I ran towards the front door to jump into my shoes and catch the
bus. I went to school and it was a regular day, I had new classes and one of them was with my
favorite teacher, Mrs. Gates. I never thought I would build up the confidence to sing infront of
people ever but Mrs. Gates but i started to rethink that when my teacher told the class that at the
end of this week on friday we will have auditions for a solo of the choir. I felt this uneasiness in my
stomach and thought I was about to embarrass myself by throwing up in front of the whole class.
I went the whole day just thinking about that solo. It was finally friday, days went by of me
practicing for the audition, I made everyone else go first. When I finally got the courage to walk in
front of everyone I belted out adele and everyone's jaw dropped. I didn't know if that was a good
thing so I ran back to my seat and hit behind my desk and sat far back in my chair so I wouldn be
noticed. The weekend went by and I didn't think much of the solos because I did not think I was
gonna make the top 3. I walked into Mrs. Gates room feeling like my heart would stop any minute.

My First Day– On my first day of field work at Ps.198 I remember feeling so nervous. As soon as I
step in the school building my heart was pumping with anxiety. All I could think of is what if the
students don't enjoy my company in their classroom, and what If the teacher doesn't get along with
me and how will I survive through the whole experience. Once I got signed to a class I remember
stepping in the classroom while the teacher was teaching the students. At first, I felt awkward
because all the students were looking at me. I recall being so shy and at first, I would just sit and

that everything changed I started to be more involved with the classroom. I started to ask Ms.
Mandelbaum for tips on teaching. As time passed by I felt very comfortable being around the
students and helping them out when they had questions. Ms. Mandelbaum helped me out a lot
when it came to the social science lessons because she'll always gave me a heads up on the lesson

the better.
My Professional Growth– During this experience, it did help me grow not just in general but in a

would be to obtain a clinical medical assistant certificate" and once I started going to the field work

I wanted to be a teacher or not. Getting to know the students and the school environment it made me

My First Day Of An American School
Topic: My first day in an American school
Specific Purpose: To tell a story about the my experience in the United States school system compare
to the Jamaican school system.
Thesis Statement: We should appreciate what we have before we lose it because the grass is not
always greener on the other side.
I.Introduction
a.After living in Jamaica for 15 years and 9 months, I went to live with my mother in Central Islip in
Long Island New York. It was sad to leave behind all my friends and my oldschool, but this would
be a fresh start to find new friends and to go to a new school.
b.I was very excited to start my new school after seeing how cool school seemed on TV. The no
school uniform, having lockers, walking out of class when the bell rung even is the teacher is still
talking and school buses. School seemed like a dreamland on TV compare to the strict school I was
leaving.
I. Main point 1
a.my school was just a 6 minute walk for my house so I didn't get to experience the school bus
ride. My little sister who went to school in America all her life, helped me map out how to get to
my first three classes on a school map they gave me during registration.when I walked through the
big glass doors, my mood went from being excited to nervous. The main hallway was a big circle
and you had to walk in one direction during the period changes. I was overwhelmed by the 100s of
kids in the hallway. I was use to outdoor open space door back at my old school with

My First Day At School Essay
The morning of my first day of school was warm and quiet...until I got to school. The day that my
parents tried to send me to the vile place, known as Jasper Preschool, was a nightmare. My dad and
I shared an unbreakable unity. I loved spending my care–free days with him. There was no way I
wanted to be taken away from my loving family––even seven gruesome hours. So, preschool didn't
even stand a chance, in fact, I wasn't even there a week. My parents ended up waiting another year,
where they put me into kindergarten with Ms. Hankins. She was nice, but she was nothing like Dad.
School was horrible up until the third grade with Ms. Hudson, where I began to learn the true
meaning of school.
My parents attempted school again a year later; this time as a kindergartener. Ms. Hankins was a
compassionate woman, and she made school barible. Kindergarten was an experience for me. They
tried to move me to first grade, but the teacher was, and still to this day, the most horrible teacher I'd
ever meet. I then finished first grade with Ms. Hankins. Second grade was alright, but once I was in
third grade with Ms. Hudson was when I really realized what school could mean to me. On the first
day of third grade, I immediately loved it because my teacher had an antique bathtub where all the
kids could take turns reading.
In the third grade my parents also went through a divorce, and Ms. Hudson and I became really
close. I learned so many lessons in her class; both educational and life

My First Day At School Essay
On my first day of middle school I ecstatically jumped out of my bed as my alarm blared in my ears.
I put on my clothes I set out the day prior and ran downstairs to get my things for school. I
remember being so excited I was completely ready for school half an hour before I needed to be. It
all fell apart as I got to the bus. I suddenly became really nervous and was happy to have one of my
best friends, Jasmine at the bus stop with me. Once we got to school, I opened my locker (after a few
attempts I might add.) and put everything but my binder inside. Surprisingly, Jasmine had the
locker one over but below mine. I had put my schedule in the glossy front of my binder. I checked
for my first class (reading and writing) and the room number and walked down the hall. Once I got
to the class I went to find my seat. It was easy because the teacher had put the seating chart on the
board through the document camera. I found my seat and sat down putting my large and empty
binder on the desk in front of me. I was completely clueless there was a morning time where
students could go hangout with friends and go to classrooms to finish missing assignments and eat
breakfast at school. So I sat there almost a full half hour doing nothing. Well, almost nothing. I had
a friend who was sitting next to me who also didn't know the mourning period. She was different
though, we were almost related once. After first and second period there was my math class. And
math classes in the sixth

My First Day in a New School

  • 1. My First Day In High School Essay At the age 14, I am starting my first day of public school and have to start all over, not just in a new school but a new state. After arriving on the school grounds where I was given the intro to high school, I received my school ID and began to decipher the confusing bugaboo known as a class schedule. Little did I know, that was just the beginning of my obstacles. I moved down from Washington state to Arizona because I wanted a fresh start; I believed it was finally time for me to make the metamorphic change from my isolated home school education to the rigorous social headache known as the public high school. My school was a short ten–minute car ride, and I arrived a little early on the first day of my honors English class in order to be fully prepared when the lesson started. I had my pencil, paper, sticky notes, pens, colored pencils, a pleasure book (a book in case I got bored), and my homework assignment from over the summer. Most of the students, I noticed, knew each other from their past schooling which was intimidating to say the least. As an added discomfort, they were all dressed with what was in style, and I felt like an old grandmother with my flower print skirt, pumps, flowy pink blouse, and straight hair with bangs. The first day of class was nerve–racking because I knew I would be required to actually converse with my peers– I was not what you would call a "social butterfly." Suddenly, the teacher strutted up front, dressed professionally with an aura of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My First Day Of School Essay The first day of school is nerve–wracking for most people, for me, the first day was especially terrifying. The first day of a college class is probably more crazy than all others. My mom and younger sister, Michaela, were busy taking pictures as I attempted to run out of the door. After being homeschooled for the last six years, I knew it would be a much different experience. I had been in my room alone doing school; I was content with where I was. The morning of the first day of class, I was so busy that I didn't have time to be nervous. However, as I ran out the door, my heart rate elevated to a pace of 138 bpm. I felt older, nervous, excited, and anxious as I left for Pellissippi. Although it had been six years since I had been in a classroom, I realized that all of my worry was for nothing once I walked into Ms. Brown's class. The summer after I completed the 6th grade, my parents decided to pull me out of my Baptist, private school and homeschool me. I, like most kids, was not thrilled with the decision, but being only 11 years old, I had no say in the matter. Despite my initial reservations, being homeschooled was a great experience for me, but I began to get bored. I missed seeing people every day. It was just me and my family. I was ready for a new experience, something big, and college was exactly what I was looking for. It was Sunday night, and there was a high probability that class would be cancelled. I prayed that that wouldn't happen, however, it did. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My First Day At School Essay On the morning of September 1st, 2016, I woke up to my alarm excited and ready for my first day of school. I quickly got dressed and ran down the stairs to get some breakfast. I ate my breakfasts meal, and since there was time to kill before we were allowed to enter school, I pet my dogs and just layed down in my warm, soft blankets. I wish I could bring my dogs and my blankets to school with me, I thought to myself, but I know school is a time for learning, not for sleeping and relaxing. Once it was around 7:25 AM, my dad drove me to school. I met my friends in front of the school by the big tree in the front of the campus, and we talked about how weird it was going to be going to a whole new school with people we knew and people we didn't know. We also were talking about which teachers we thought we were going to get. We had many other discussions for the rest of the time we had to hang out together. but I can't remember what they were about. Quite a few minutes later, the bell that signaled that we could enter school rang, and we all scrambled inside to get in line to get our schedules. I got in line, and waited until I got to the front. Once I did, I said my first and last name to the person and they gave me my schedule. I looked it over, and ran to find my friends so I could see if I had any classes with them. I had some of my them in my classes, but not many. For the remainder of the morning we had to hang out, I wandered around the school, checking things Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Experience : My First Day Of School The lazy days of the Summer were ending and day by day I was inching closer to my first day of school. The first day of school finally arrived, and I couldn't wait to make new friends. There I was attending school and beginning a new chapter in my life. I sat there in the hard seat of my desk with my eyes full of amazement as I analyzed the classroom setting. After all the children were seated, the teacher, Miss Annette, handed out a blank piece of paper and announced the directions for the assignment. I looked around and all my classmates seemed to be doing what the teacher asked except me. In those moments my total interpretation of school changed because I realized that everyone knew English except me. Although I was born in the United...show more content... Then, one day I got the message that the teacher had scheduled a meeting with my parents. I was apprehensive about what Miss Annentte was going to say about me. Later, I found out that I was going to be put in an ELL (English Language Learner) program so I could improve my English skills. During class time, the program instructor would come pick me up and a few other students once a week to enhance our English skills. She would have cards with pictures on them, and we would take turns saying words. The instructor would give out candy if a student got it correct. We would go to this class once a week with the lady, and we would begin with straightforward words. A popular game that we would play is scramble because it improved our English skills, and it was a great way to interact with my fellow classmates. This became my favorite class because not at any time did I feel that there was a burden on me to learn all the words. The class provided me with a break from the outside world, and It made me feel relieved that I wasn't in this alone. ELL would always teach me something new, and I would always come away with additional vocabulary under my belt. This program really helped me boost my confidence and aided me into staying focused in my education. Once a month the ELL instructor would send out a progress report that would display my achievements so far. This gave me the opportunity to show my parents what I have accomplished so far, and it was a great incentive for me to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I packed my bag and got ready to wait for the bus. I was so scared. I had so many thoughts running through my mind all at once. As I walked outside I saw the bus pulling on the end of street, my heart was racing. As the bus approached I stepped on and picked the closest empty seat available. The bus was quite yet at the same time I heard people talking. A few minutes later I just decided to look out the window instead of awkwardly staring down. My friends and I decided that we should all wear skirts on the first day of school. As I finish getting ready I grab my phone to look at the time. The time is 8:15, so I run downstairs and find that my family has already cleaned up breakfast, but as usual my mom has left me a waffle to grab as I run out the door. I arrive to school just in time to find my friends are beginning to walk inside. But just as I spot them I realize that I am not wearing the right outfit. While I was getting ready they decided to wear dresses. I search my purse for my phone and it is nowhere to be found. This is beginning to be a bad day. My friends all walk over to my car, but I don't want to face them. This same thing happened to another girl that is in the group last year. We had decided to wear jeans, but then switched to jean shorts because it was really hot out. We all didn't talk to her until her mom brought her jean shorts. I decide its best if I just drive home and grab a dress and my phone and be a little late to school. So as I pull out I yell to thaem that I'll be back soon. As I drive home I'm thinking about which dress to wear. As I pull into my driveway I've Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My First Day At School On the first day of school I woke up at 6:30 a.m. to my alarm clock. I woke up and got dressed, in which I wore dark blue jeans, and a buttoned up shirt which I wore tucked in. I brushed my hair thoroughly and left it down. Then, My Dad drove me to school, and walked me up to the door. We said goodbye, I gave him a kiss, and then I walked not my new adventure. When I walked into the school, I headed to the old gym, in which I went looking for my friend. When I found my friend, Izzy, we hugged each other and jumped up and down out of pure excitement. After we talked for a few moments the bell rang and we headed for the exit. As we passed through the hallway I noticed that the white board in the hallway said to report to your home room...show more content... Then I went to lunch with my friend, Izzy, which we were both ready for and we were the only ones with B lunch. We got into the hot lunch line. I got pears, chocolate milk, and pepperoni pizza. After we were both done with our lunches we headed outside and we looked if there was anyone that we knew. There was there was a boy that we were acquaintances with. We played with him for the recess. I then lined up and went right to the band room and I chose my own seat. Next, Mr. Duso went over the rules and new grading system. It's now 7th hour, one more class, which is ela with Mr. Grant. I entered the classroom and I chose a seat at a table with some friends. When Mr. Grant came in, he went to each table and asked us our last names. After he finished with our names we started a get–to–know–you paper. After he gave us time to work on it on our own time, he went and found someone who matched ours. Then, the a noise rang. It was the bell. We all made our way out of the classroom. Next, I gathered my backpack, chromebook, and my instrument, and made my way to my friend, Izzy's, locker who was also downstairs. Izzy and I walked across the grass to where the buses were parked. We walked halfway across the grass, when Izzy left to go to her car, and I continued to the buses. I walked onto the bus in found a seat near some Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My First Day At School My time at Life School was very eventful, and I will remember them for the rest of my life. My first day at life school was very eventful though i made a name for myself. I started at Life School Lancaster in the third grade, and i came about a month after school started because i transferred from a different school. I got into trouble and they gave me a tally which is just something to show you did something they didn't like. At first i thought i was getting kicked out, but through time i learned it wasn't. In elementary school I wasn't the best kid and i had a couple of friends at the time, some of which i still am friends with now. At the end of my elementary school I became a bit of antisocial due to bullying. Fast forward to...show more content... I didn't know what he meant until later though. He later told me to start going to training camps and combines, and for some reason i went, and he would always boast about me to his friends. He was like second dad, and i could tell he cared about me, so i started doing good and he is what made me into what I am today. Sophomore year came faster than expected, i had done summer football camp and i was feeling better than ever. I started on varsity my first year coming in. I was taught to never give up, even though he would still yell up a storm at me. I made a lot of friends my sophomore year, and started to become friends with people who didn't have any because I knew how it felt to not have any. I had some sort of depression that year, and i prayed for it to go away, but instead i grew to force it to go away. This same year me and my friends formed a group called the squad, and my circle grew even more. I started to attend parties and gained popularity with everyone, but i was just glad to have friends. My junior and senior year were hard years because my classes were hard, but i got through it. I became one of the team captains in football we did pretty good these years and i eventually won lineman of the year for the school. My relationships with my friends became good I can honestly call them the brothers and sisters. I was stressed out these years because i was trying really hard to get into college, and at one of the last Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My First Day At School A bright but cold morning January in 2014, I woke up early, I jumped and smiled because it was my first day of school. First I went to take a shower; I thought, "What I would do in school today, who will be my teachers". Then I walked to the bus stop people looked at me like I'm not from this planet. I sat on a tree trunk waiting for the bus. The bus arrived after 15 minutes, I aboard the bus. The driver was a woman she was wearing a black shirt and brown pants. She told me " Do you have the paper that shows that you have permission to go to school in a school bus" I stared at her and said " No English". Then I went to the bathroom to cry, and they chased me there and pushed and telling me a that I am a crybaby. After that class, I went to my math class to left my backpack and go to eat at the cafeteria, but I was not hungry, so I sat at a table in the last row. I began to think "If I continue to be sad I'm going to get sick" I start thinking how I will be smart, I start to organize. First I will put a lot of attention in the English class and practice what the teacher says and read books. I thought too "If they push me one more time I will tell to the teacher because I am a human, not an animal." The bell rang, and we went back to the classroom. Well, math was a little easy for me because all was about numbers. After two months I start to understand English, now life was easy for me. In conclusion, after nine months I learned to speak and write English. I start helping some students that they don't know English Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My First Day In School Essay First week of School Ever since I came back to America, (I went to China when I was 2 years old and came back at the age of 4) I was introduced to a place where I have never been before, Naples, New York, the home of the world's greatest grape pie. My parents saw it as a opportunity to open up a restaurant and use it to support our family. My first experience in Naples was helping hold garbage bags while my father and mother were cleaning out the old post office, so we could renovate it. I was probably one of the most bored kids in town because of the fact that for many days that's all I did. As months went by the restaurant first opened and I was told to stay upstairs all day, which also got very boring watching American tv shows in which I couldn't even understand any of it. As time flew by, I was soon expected to go toschool (so my parents don't have to watch out for me every day). Before I was driven to school, I had no idea where I was going so I didn't think much of it. But right as I arrived, I had an idea of what I was about to do, go to school. For the first time in my life I was going into a school where I don't speak the language, nor do I know anyone. I had no idea what was going on as my father brought me to a building where I was led to a classroom where there were other children my age that all looked at me. I had no idea on why I had to come here and I desperately wanted to go back home, but unfortunately he had to work and left. I was left there at a Get more content on HelpWriting.net

That very first day of school will become a significant day in everyone life, a day to celebrate. I had my first day of school too; I couldn't remember all the details; but somehow, I can still feel the excitement and curiosity that I had at the time. It would be impossible for anyone to travel back in time to look back on their first day of school. But, I was lucky that I was able to have another opportunity to feel the same excitement and curiosity again. It was recently when my family moved to America. Growing up in a small town, everyone knows each other, so it was harder for me to say goodbye to everyone, especially my close friends. I was depressed on departing day because I knew I would miss my friends, family, foods, festivals, air, beach, and the sky full of stars. I knew it wouldn't be the same in America, but I had no choice at the time. "Is that tree dead?" my mother asked me after we leave the Dulles International Airport in D.C and on our way to our new home in America. I look around from the small taxi's window, and I was quite surprised to see something so marvelous. This was the first time in my life I saw a tree quite big without a single leaf. I thought it was dead too, so I asked the taxi driver, and he responded me with a laugh. Later, when we arrived at our new home, I found out that the tree is just sleeping Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay about First Day of Secondary School First Day of Secondary School – Original Writing I was so excited yet so terrified at the thought of my first day in secondary school. It felt much to me like my first day as an adult, the first day I ever felt grown up. As I packed my spanking new bag full of spanking new pens and pencils, I couldn't help but think would all the rumours about head flushing, bullying and heaps upon heaps of homework be true? I guess I was about to find out. Sporting my smart new navy blazer, white shirt and tie I slammed the door behind me and swiftly scurried to my friend Vicki's house. I knocked on the door and when it opened I could see that all my anticipation and excitement was being shared in Vicki's...show more content... Everyone instantaneously sat down like a dog obeying its owner, as Mr King gave us the instructions for the day. After about fifteen minutes of worthless gibberish, we went on to our first lessons. The corridors were like a swarming maze. Everyone was crammed in, grabbing on to people's bags so they wouldn't be pushed over. Finally after taking a few wrong turnings we found the right class and sat in our friendship groups. This lesson was maths, and we watched one of those mind–numbing educational videos. Our teacher, Mrs Branfield had a strong Somerset accent, and was a nice teacher. She wasn't too strict but she had the class under control. I was good at maths back then, so it soon became one of my favourite subjects. I was entered into the Maths Challenge that year, and came out with a Bronze certificate, which was good for my year. Our first lesson sped past and we now were on the mission to find our next class. I was on my own now as no one I knew was in my D.T class. I asked the teacher where my next classroom was, and finally found it after following some kids I recognised from my last lesson. When I found the class I went and sat with a girl I didn't know. We were told the projects we'd be making that year which was a drawing board and an alarm, both of which didn't turn out too good. This lesson too sped past and next was my first recess. • 16. My First Day In School I was in the bathroom getting ready for the first day of the third trimester of 8th grade, I was comfortably singing in my bathroom thinking I was alone. After getting ready I opened up the door and look in the hallway flustered to see my mom filming me singing. I was embarrassed and my cheeks turned bright red as I ran towards the front door to jump into my shoes and catch the bus. I went to school and it was a regular day, I had new classes and one of them was with my favorite teacher, Mrs. Gates. I never thought I would build up the confidence to sing infront of people ever but Mrs. Gates but i started to rethink that when my teacher told the class that at the end of this week on friday we will have auditions for a solo of the choir. I felt this uneasiness in my stomach and thought I was about to embarrass myself by throwing up in front of the whole class. I went the whole day just thinking about that solo. It was finally friday, days went by of me practicing for the audition, I made everyone else go first. When I finally got the courage to walk in front of everyone I belted out adele and everyone's jaw dropped. I didn't know if that was a good thing so I ran back to my seat and hit behind my desk and sat far back in my chair so I wouldn be noticed. The weekend went by and I didn't think much of the solos because I did not think I was gonna make the top 3. I walked into Mrs. Gates room feeling like my heart would stop any minute. Once I got signed to a class I remember stepping in the classroom while the teacher was teaching the students. At first, I felt awkward because all the students were looking at me. My First Day Of An American School Topic: My first day in an American school Specific Purpose: To tell a story about the my experience in the United States school system compare to the Jamaican school system. Thesis Statement: We should appreciate what we have before we lose it because the grass is not always greener on the other side. I.Introduction a.After living in Jamaica for 15 years and 9 months, I went to live with my mother in Central Islip in Long Island New York. It was sad to leave behind all my friends and my oldschool, but this would be a fresh start to find new friends and to go to a new school. b.I was very excited to start my new school after seeing how cool school seemed on TV. The no school uniform, having lockers, walking out of class when the bell rung even is the teacher is still talking and school buses. School seemed like a dreamland on TV compare to the strict school I was leaving. I. Main point 1 a.my school was just a 6 minute walk for my house so I didn't get to experience the school bus ride. • 19. My First Day At School Essay The morning of my first day of school was warm and quiet...until I got to school. The day that my parents tried to send me to the vile place, known as Jasper Preschool, was a nightmare. My dad and I shared an unbreakable unity. I loved spending my care–free days with him. There was no way I wanted to be taken away from my loving family––even seven gruesome hours. So, preschool didn't even stand a chance, in fact, I wasn't even there a week. My parents ended up waiting another year, where they put me into kindergarten with Ms. Hankins. She was nice, but she was nothing like Dad. School was horrible up until the third grade with Ms. Hudson, where I began to learn the true meaning of school. My parents attempted school again a year later; this time as a kindergartener. Ms. Hankins was a compassionate woman, and she made school barible. Kindergarten was an experience for me. They tried to move me to first grade, but the teacher was, and still to this day, the most horrible teacher I'd ever meet. I then finished first grade with Ms. Hankins. Second grade was alright, but once I was in third grade with Ms. Hudson was when I really realized what school could mean to me. On the first day of third grade, I immediately loved it because my teacher had an antique bathtub where all the kids could take turns reading. In the third grade my parents also went through a divorce, and Ms. Hudson and I became really close. I learned so many lessons in her class; both educational and life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My First Day At School Essay On my first day of middle school I ecstatically jumped out of my bed as my alarm blared in my ears. I put on my clothes I set out the day prior and ran downstairs to get my things for school. I remember being so excited I was completely ready for school half an hour before I needed to be. It all fell apart as I got to the bus. I suddenly became really nervous and was happy to have one of my best friends, Jasmine at the bus stop with me. Once we got to school, I opened my locker (after a few attempts I might add.) and put everything but my binder inside. Surprisingly, Jasmine had the locker one over but below mine. I had put my schedule in the glossy front of my binder. I checked for my first class (reading and writing) and the room number and walked down the hall. Once I got to the class I went to find my seat. It was easy because the teacher had put the seating chart on the board through the document camera. I found my seat and sat down putting my large and empty binder on the desk in front of me. I was completely clueless there was a morning time where students could go hangout with friends and go to classrooms to finish missing assignments and eat breakfast at school. So I sat there almost a full half hour doing nothing. Well, almost nothing. I had a friend who was sitting next to me who also didn't know the mourning period. She was different though, we were almost related once. After first and second period there was my math class. And math classes in the sixth Get more content on HelpWriting.net
