1. Job roles specific to television
production in 'The X Factor'.

2. Production Designer.
They are responsible for the visual concept of a film, television or theatre production.
They identify a design style of sets, locations, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and
costumes.
They work closely with the director and producer.
In the photo above shows production designer in the ‘X Factor’ live shows.
3. Lighting designer.
They work with the director, choreographer, set designer, costume designer and sound designer
to create the lighting and atmosphere.
The lighting designer also works closely with the stage manager.

4. Makeup artist.
The responsibility of the make up artist is to design the facial features for a certain
point/characteristic for the show.
Makeup artists make the characters look there best on camera. They cover up anything that
needs covering for the live shows.
5. Sound/Sound Supervisor.
They liaise closely with Directors and other senior production and technical personnel.
They attend planning meetings to check the sound requirements for each production.
They have to check the speakers and microphones before every performance.
6. Cameras/ Camera Supervisor.
A Camera Supervisor is a management role, which involves supervising the entire camera crew
on multiple camera shoots.
The Camera Supervisor is in charge of communicating ideas from the director.
7. Floor Manger.
This is the stage manager of the production.
One of the managers that gets all contestants ready to go on stage.
The walk around the back making sure everything is happening at the right time when its
supposed to.
8. Stage Manager.
This person is responsible for the lighting and other technical arrangements.
They need to make sure that everything to do with the lighting and technical elements are done
on time.
9. Offline Editors.
Offline Editor is part of the post-production process of filmmaking and television production.
The editor and director are then free to work with all the options to create the final cut.
This is where they edit offline to make the final production ready to produce.
10. Production Team.
The production team is group of people who produce/ create the piece of tv/film from the
technical side.
They are the providers, technicians who produce the show and are responsible for the running of
it.
11. Director of Production.
The director of production has a individual responsibility to be in charge/head of the team.
They make the final calls on the production for example like what camera angle they should use.
They run the whole show.
