Programme Manager on the implementation of an internet banking solution for a large Singapore-based
bank. Project was delivered on schedule and to budget; contract value 5m USD; 30 FTEs
Programme Manager on a large back office implementation project for a leading Australian airline. The
project was worth over AUD $100m and involved replacement of key HR, Finance, Purchasing and Sales
and Marketing systems across the airline, featuring a project size of over 200 staff at its peak; contract value
over 10m USD; 200+ FTEs
Project Director on a service cost benchmarking exercise for a major Aircraft Maintenance Provider in China
with aim of consolidating engineering activities across a number of sites. The project included cost and
process assessment, comparison with industry norms and best practices, and development of business and
implementation plans to support the consolidation initiative
Project Manager on the implementation of a new procurement system for a major Asian airline. The project
involved analysis of existing procurement processes, design and implementation of new processes related
to best practice from airlines and other similar industries, spend analysis, supplier and contract
management; contract value 3m USD; 20 FTEs
Technical architect on the development of a corporate travel portal. Tasks included network and
infrastructure definition and sizing, plus call centre requirements definition, system and supplier evaluation
Technical architect on the development of a trading portal for airline supply chain operations, including
inventory sharing, e-procurement and collaborative working.
Analyst / support on the delivery of IT to the alliance of two major carriers. Tasks included process definition
and organisational re-structuring, IT costing and planning, management information and reporting project
definition.
Project Co-ordinator on the implementation of Oracle Financials for a large hotel chain. The role involved
development and testing of the applications architecture (NCA and Smart Client), liaison with the hardware
and network suppliers.
Senior Analyst on the merger of two large Insurance Companies. Responsible for technical design and
implementation of data extraction and mainframe processing activities, plus other related conversion and
project management tasks (including production and execution of test schedules, project plans and team
supervision).
Team leader on a major information systems strategy for a Government Department in Hong Kong. This
work involved a review of current business processes, identification of business process re-engineering
opportunities and the need for information systems and IT across the Department, production of technical
and management project plans, and a description of the strategy technical architecture.
IT Contractor - UK Department of Social Security 1991 – 1994
Information Technology Services Agency (ITSA) - the IT Agency of the UK DSS. I led a team of 10 staff
responsible for identifying and delivering IT requirements for certain section of the DSS (a user population of
over 4,000 staff).
