12. Citing Sources
There are many Citation/ Reference style. But the
most commonly used is MLA style of reference.
There are Core elements which forms the skeleton
of a reference used.
14. The basic form for a book citation is:
•Last Name, First Name. Title of Book.(in italics) Publisher, Publication Year.
Eg: Martin, George R. A Game of thrones. Bantam Press, 1996.
BASIC BOOK FORMAT
15. Last Name, First Name, and Name as it appears. Title. Publisher, Publication Year.
Eg:Gillespie, Paula, and Neal Lerner. The Allyn and Bacon Guide to Peer Tutoring. Allyn
and Bacon, 2000.
More then two authors: Last Name, First Name, etal. Title. Publisher, Publication Year.
Eg: Wysocki, Anne Frances, et al. Writing New Media: Theory and Applications for
Expanding the Teaching of Composition. Utah State UP, 2004.
