The process of participation also help in understanding the
dynamics of an enterprise's.
The structure, content and form of WPM depends on political
ideology and system adopted by a particular society.
Meaning of workers participation in management
Purpose of Workers' Participation
It utilized meaningfully, workers' participation can serve a
number of purposes, all geared to archive organizational
effectiveness and the satisfaction of the employees
Definition :
ACCORDING TO, ‘KEITH DAVIS’:
‘MENTALAND EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT OF A PERSON IN A
GROUP SITUATION WHICH ENCOURAGES HIM TO CONTRIBUTE
TO GROUP GOALS AND SHARE RESPONSIBILITY IN THEM’.
THE IMPORTANT ELEMENT ARE:
A. Not a physical activity.
B. Encourage people to share responsibility.
C. Person must contribute his initiative, knowledge, creativity for
the attainment of objective of the organization.
KEITH DAVIS(1967): claims that participation has helped to
produce one or more of the following.
