 Hybrid systems ,as the
name implies ,combine
two or more modes of
Electricity generation
together ,usually using
renewable technologies
such as Solar
Photovoltaic (PV) and
wind turbines

 The thing made by combining two or more
different element.
 Need Of Hybridization
 For Increasing output
 For fulfilling demand of consumer
 Providing uniterrupted power supply
 System can design for both off grid and on
grid

 Sourthen and Western coastal areas are ideal location

 No conventional fuel required.
 Technically simpler.

METHODOLOGY
 Both system (solar &wind turbine)has
produced DC power.
 The both electric power has been stored in
battery by battery charger.
 Both power has been controlled by inverter
(DC/AC)&supply to the lighting system.

ADVANTAGES OF HYBRID SYSTEM
 The wind solar energy conversion system is
more stable.
 It requires a little maintenance.
 Easy installation method.
 The cost to produce unit power is
comparatively lower than other renewable
energy.

DISADVANTAGES OF HYBRID SYSTEM
 Large number of harmonics is produced.
 Large space is required for large generation.
 Wind energy system are noisy in operation.
 Efficiency is less than conventional power
plants.

CONCLUSIONS
 The main objectives of this topic was to give
more stable power from wind - solar hybrid
system. The topic has been successfully
designed &constructed ,which is able to
collect sun radiation &wind velocity all the
day to operate the system. It can be
commercially applicable in village &remote
areas where air velocity &sun radiation is
perfectly available.
