The document summarizes the Vamolà project which aims to help public institutions in Italy evaluate the accessibility of their websites. It discusses the development of an automatic validator and monitor application to check websites against 22 accessibility requirements from the Italian Stanca Act. Metrics are proposed to compare accessibility among websites and evaluate websites over time based on errors, warnings and user expectations. A prototype monitor is being used to test metrics and provide guidelines for public institutions.
